Re: Missed saves and game configs (EA Desktop + Titanfall 2)

I changed game settings like resolution, control, etc inside a running game.

I did not touch any game configs files in filesystem, I even could not find them anywhere, same as saves folder location.

I'm installing Titanfall 2 now, I'll check for you where the folder is with all the settings and saves.

When we have found the folder, we can check if it has been set to read only or if something else is going on.

Alright I just had a look and it did save for me after installing Titanfall 2 via EA Desktop.

Keep in mind that the game saves automatically and that you can't save manually. I completed the tutorial and started some of the first mission, then I exited the game and loaded it up again, and started where I left the game, so all seems good.

I also had a look where the saves are, but it's under My Documents > Respawn > Titanfall2, it could be that you have to click on your username instead of on My Documents. @winnieboom

  • @EA_Jason the problem was that titanfall 2 cannot save settings or save games if you have onedrive that backups document folder. I had to turn off backups to be able to play game. Beside that I had to buy the game in origin to check if behavior will be the same. Only after that I found note somewhere about onedrive.

But it is not all, multiplayer did not work on intel cpu 11th series, to solve it I have to add some os path variables. If you are not going to fix it, at least make a big note about this bugs when run the game. (the same for apex) otherwise it takes a lot of time to figure out a problem. In my case i had also buy a game that was available for me by subscription.

@winnieboom Aaah OneDrive, I've seen that happen before in multiple games and I'm glad to see that you figured it out.

What's the bug where it doesn't work with the 11 series Intel CPU and what did you have to change? I'm not sure that I heard about that before.
  • @EA_Jason Add a new system variable in windows advanced system settings

    Variable name: OPENSSL_ia32cap
