This is the fix that has worked for me.
Find your Jade Empire .exe file in the folder where you installed the game. Troubleshoot compatibility (should default to Windows Vista [Service Pack 2]) and the game should launch. Hope this works for you too!

This didn't work for me tried any other versions still crashing from ea desktop with same error and no error message that can give me any incite. Do you have any other tips?

Compatibility mode didn't work for me either.
I did all the things you say in your answer. Now i can launch the game and play it, but when i try to exit from the first area the game crash during the loading. have you any idea why this thing happened ?

I got the same problem with Crysis from EA Desktop
The game stays on the launching screen inside the EA window. I have tried everything I could find on the internet. Nothing has worked. I don't understand why it cannot simply launch from game pass.

Its April 2022 now, more than a year later and this is still an issue. Nearly every game I have an issue with on Gamepass for PC are all EA games because they for some reason make you download the EA app (which is just flat out buggy) and it causes all kinds of issues. Gamepass is fine, it's all the EA app. On a new computer with a high powered CPU and GPU, all drivers up-to-date, I have issues with no games from any other sources except EA through their app. There are tons of posts on Reddit all stating the same problems. My fix at this point is to uninstall the EA app permanently. If using GamePass on PC and it's an EA game I just avoid it. How can this still be an issue? It's fine on Xbox console because you don't need to use EAs software, but for PC it's a nightmare for almost everyone I know. I'm not renewing my Gamepass membership because of this, totally ridculious. I'm done. Peace.

Got to get the OG Origin up and going.
I had to mess with signing in before or and after messing with dlls and inis.
I uninstalled origin and reinstalled 3 times trying different combos.
JadeEmpire.exe isn't showing up in my folders. my error message is invalid license. Reason code = missing DLL: [d3dx9_29.dll] Error. 0x7E.
I've never gotten this game to work, EA never fixed their app, it doesn't work properly, they are aware, and do not care. When speaking about the EA app, my friend Dante said this:
