We don’t handle Steam purchases directly, and it looks like you received the game as a gift rather than purchasing it yourself. This means you wouldn’t be able to request a refund, but your friend might be able to help with that. I recommend checking with Steam for more information.

Regarding the issue with your Steam account being linked to an EA account where you’ve forgotten the credentials, I understand how frustrating that can be.
