Wild Hearts won’t launch - EA app error (“error on our end”)
When launching Wild Hearts via Steam, I get: "There was an error on our end." I already tried: - Clearing EA app cache - Reinstalling EA app - Restarting PC - Re-logging Steam & EA EA app opens fine, but the game fails to launch. Platform: Steam (PC) Is this a server/account issue?kikurage_06082 days agoRising Newcomer26Views1like0CommentsMy XBox Game Pass has been automatically linked to someone elses EA Account
My XBox Game Pass has been linked to someone elses EA Account I went to install an EA game from the XBox Gamepass on PC and it prompted me to install EA Desktop. I did so and it automatically started the app up and connected it to someone elses EA account. It is not connecting to my EA account, it is not asking for a password and I have no way to disconnect it. My XBox game pass account now seems to be permanently linked to someone elses EA account. Microsoft say they have no access because its an EA thing. The EA helpdesk refuses to do anything because they want me to verify the credentials for the random EA account that it has connected to, It's not my account so I have no way to verify it. They refuse to help in any way, cannot tell me whose account it is and aren't even willing to contact that person to have them resolve it. I am completely unable to link my XBox to my own account because somehow the system has linked it to this other random account and EA wont touch it unless I can somehow prove that this other persons account is mine. And of course, I can no longer connect to Chat as it prompts me to send an email or to call a number, and the number just has a recorded message stating that they are unable to take my call. It's a little frustrating to say the least Appreciate if any EA representative can advise on how I can make the EA support people do something11KViews0likes29CommentsWhy does the EA app display "Games have been removed from your library"?
Hey everyone, Thank you all for expressing your concerns about the "Games have been removed from your library" notification in the EA app (see below). We want to assure you that this feature is often* functioning as intended. Its recent implementation aims to reduce the number of inquiries about missing games or DLCs and provide clarity on why such items have been removed from your library. By clicking on the "VIEW DETAILS" button on the right side of the message, you can see a list of all the games that have been removed and the respective reasons for their removal. *It's important to understand that this scenario can also be triggered by a valid, temporary issue. When or if this happens, we will confirm this in the thread. Please see the 'Resolved TEMPORARY Outages Resulting in the Same Error' section below for further details. These reasons may include, but are not limited to: Expiration of an EA Play membership, Sunset of games due to discontinued online services, Removal of games due to fraudulent activities, And more. Often, the message providing the reason for removal includes a link to an EA Help article explaining the rationale behind it. For sunset games, please see our EA Help article about older EA games that aren't available. For games removed from EA Play, please see The Play List Removals. If you encounter the message "Unlisted reason" when viewing the details, it could be due to various factors, such as: The game no longer being available in EA Play, Sunset of the game, Payment issues, Problems with your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (XGPU) x EA Play connection (if you use this), Voluntary removal by the account holder or parent, Billing issues, Or self-removal of the game from the account when it was previously claimed via EA Play (a feature previously available in Origin for PC but not in the EA app). We hope this information clears up any confusion you may have. If you're still unsure why certain items were removed from your account, please don't hesitate to contact our Support team via EA Help by following https://help.ea.com/help/faq/using-ea-help. They'll help explain why those items got removed or tackle any other problems you're dealing with. Take care and game on! I'm a youth worker in charge of gaming. I tried setting up accounts for the 4 PCs we have, as we are buying FC26. Each on their own seperate email. all 4 got banned a day after creating the accounts, im guessing cause they thought we were bots or something because of how close togthether i made them. when i appealed it they said "After reviewing your case, we determined that we took the correct action in accordance with EA policies and procedures" despite me explaining we're setting up a youth centre's gaming space. help!! my boss will be mad if he's just bought 4 copies of FC we cant even use. i dont know what im gonna do, any advice appriciated. How can I make the accounts again? or speak to a human as the support site is useless and just gives me the same questions over and over.76Views0likes1CommentAdding my Adult Sister to my EA Family
I've spent more money on The Sims franchise than most people spend on rent. And I think I should be able to share what I paid for with my family; whether they're my children or not. I've been sharing my account with my sister for as long as I've been playing the Sims, but now if I don't want our game files mixing together, she needs her own account. Now, I'm in my 30's, and my sister is three years younger than me, which makes her unquestionably an adult. Now, I could lie and add her to the family by faking the year she was born, but there's only a five-year window before that stops working. And personally, I don't feel like having to check to make sure my sister's fake age is still within range for her to play my stuff. I've been trying to find a way to talk to an actual person through EA about this. I know that the company wants my sister to have to pay for each and every pack that she wants to play. But in my mind, why spend the money twice if someone in the family already owns what's being bought? I'm honestly willing to talk to whoever I need to in order for this to work in my favor. I'm not about to make my sister choose between college, her car, and a game. And I sure as heck can't afford to buy everything twice; I can barely afford to buy it once. So, how can I add my Adult Sister to my EA Family so I don't have to deal with this? I've heard through the grapevine that she has to "purchase" two games before we can sync. Does it have to be a purchase of a certain amount, or can I just download the base game and Grims Guitar and call it a day? Is this even true?SolvedMarySunshine2313 days agoSeasoned Novice2.6KViews0likes3CommentsChanging my email
I realized recently that i had used my old school email when i made this account years ago on xbox and now that i'm trying to change it i can't access the verification code to verify the email. I still have access to the account and can play due to it being linked to my xbox account which means i can log in on pc and play but i still cant change the email. When i try to contact EA support i either get hit with a bot that doesn't have a solution to this or with the page saying that this issue is not supported by advisors even when i listed it as an account update issue. I'm at a dead-end and don't know what to do.49Views0likes0CommentsHow do I make a shortcut to game in my library after installation?
As question asks. In my experience creating a shortcut directly to the .exe causes issues so I'm assuming that's not a viable option. I'm not seeing any other option in the launcher to create a shortcut though, so... where is it? It's not seriously only available on first installation, is it?Lucifiish15 days agoSeasoned Newcomer83Views1like2CommentsEA App "Open on startup" toggle broken; no entry in Task Manager
Bug Report Form Application: EA App (Desktop Client) Platform: Windows 10 / Windows 11 Component: Application Settings → Startup Behavior Severity: High (User control violation, unintended persistence) Status: Unresolved Description: The "Open on startup" toggle switch within the Application Settings interface is non-functional. When the user attempts to disable the setting, the toggle either reverts to the "enabled" state immediately upon leaving the settings menu or fails to prevent the EA App from launching automatically after system reboot or user logon. Expected Behavior: Disabling the "Open on startup" option should prevent the EA App from launching automatically during system startup. The setting should persist across application restarts and system reboots. Actual Behavior: • The toggle appears interactive but produces no persistent effect. • The EA App continues to launch on startup regardless of the setting state. • No corresponding entry exists in Windows Task Manager → Startup tab to manually disable the behavior. • Setting the "EA Background Service" in services.msc to Manual or Disabled does not resolve the issue; the application circumvents this control. • The application re-initializes startup persistence mechanisms without user consent. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install EA App. 2. Launch EA App. 3. Navigate to Settings → Application. 4. Locate the "Open on startup" toggle. 5. Set the toggle to the off (disabled) position. 6. Close the settings window and exit EA App completely. 7. Restart the system or log out and log back in. 8. Observe that EA App launches automatically despite the setting being disabled. Troubleshooting Performed: • Uninstalled EA App completely. • Restarted the system. • Reinstalled EA App fresh. • Repeated the steps above. • Issue persists after clean installation. Additional Context: The application exhibits behavior consistent with unauthorized persistence mechanisms commonly associated with unwanted software. Specifically: • The startup setting cannot be modified through standard user-accessible controls. • The application bypasses Windows-native startup management tools (Task Manager Startup tab). • The application ignores service-level configuration changes intended to limit background execution. This lack of user control over application behavior raises significant usability and compliance concerns, particularly regarding system resource management and user consent under standard software transparency expectations. Suggested Fix: • Restore functionality to the "Open on startup" toggle to reliably enable or disable automatic launch behavior. • Ensure the setting respects Windows Startup API standards, registering or deregistering a startup entry in the appropriate registry path or shell startup folder. • Remove any undocumented or override mechanisms that re-enable startup behavior without explicit user authorization. System Information: • OS: Windows 11 Pro (25H2) • EA App Version: 13.661.0.6174 (106694-85bc9572a9) • Account Type: Local Administrator0003590715 days agoNew Rookie36Views0likes0CommentsSuggestion for children and children with supernatural powers.
I offer this suggestion based on the observation that mermaid children have nothing to identify them as children of the sea, aside from their mermaid trait at birth. Perhaps they could have the ability to talk to dolphins and manipulate water bubbles, or have scales appear on their legs when they enter the water in Creator Sims, so they know they are mermaids. Additionally, children of wizards could perform soft magic, such as changing the color of teddy bears, making objects float temporarily, or using a repair spell like adults. Fairy children are another group that needs some attention. They may not have wings, but they could have the ability to bless plants, temporarily create colorful butterflies, and have an animation in Creator Sims where, when they stretch, the silhouette of their future wings appears. Sim children can help care for their younger siblings by carrying them (babies and toddlers), helping them with flashcards to teach them to speak, or reading them bedtime stories. They can also set up a toy kitchen so they can learn to prepare basic meals when they're hungry (sandwiches, spinach and egg rolls, pancakes, cookies) and thus not rely so much on adults. Koshiosakura21 days agoSeasoned Newcomer31Views0likes0CommentsEA-App On Startup.
