I don't want more updates
With the upcoming base game update on May 12, and even EA warning players about mod and CC issues beforehand, I genuinely want to ask: how can I stop my game from updating automatically forever? Every major patch breaks mods, creates new bugs, and turns the game into a stressful troubleshooting puzzle instead of something enjoyable. I spend more time resolving conflicts, checking for broken CC, and repairing saves than I do actually playing. Why do these updates keep introducing more problems instead of fixing them? At this point, I would honestly prefer to stay on a stable version of the game permanently. Is there an official way to completely prevent future updates without constantly fighting with the EA App?89Views1like9CommentsKonbini payment for Japanese online shoppers

Hello! I have seen a few people post about this, but I haven't found a solution. My email information and password were found in a data breach (yay) so I wanted to change my password for my EA account. I tried logging in, my password wasn't working, I selected the "forgot password"/"reset password" option, it sent me to the "Reset password on a recognized device" page. I tried to open sims 4 to do the "go online and prompt will appear in-game to reset your password or verify your identity" method - Sims 4 wont open without the EA app. I tried launching sims through steam, same thing, it tries to open the EA app. I don't play any other EA games. Interestingly, my other account (which I am currently using to post this) was fine with letting me reset my password through an email link. I am so annoyed, and so frustrated. I am really hopeful for a solution, because I will be furious if I lose my nearly 700 hours of sims 4 work.5ece41b01719f1461 day agoRising Newcomer16Views0likes0CommentsDeleted original email, cant get help with support
I still actively use and access my EA account through my linked Xbox account and have had continuous access to it for years. However, the original email connected to the EA account was deleted a long time ago and cannot be recovered through Google anymore. Because of this, I cannot receive verification codes needed to update or change the email address on the account. I have already contacted EA Support multiple times and tried account recovery several times. I provided information such as: Xbox purchase history, linked Xbox gamertag, previous account details, approximate account creation period, other information I could remember The problem is that the account was created back in 2019 when I was younger, so I cannot remember every exact detail originally entered on the account. Support keeps telling me that some details are incorrect, but they do not specify which ones. I can still fully access the EA account through Xbox login today. The main issue is only the inaccessible email address.30Views0likes2CommentsJedi Fallen Order
My app, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order crashes, or stops and starts. I have repaired it twice through the ES app with no positive results. There is a message when booting that says I have a corrupt save file. Can I remove it from my PC and re-install it without paying for it again? That's it. I am a bit concerned that EA/MAXIS infiltrates my personal computing system without my express consent. To Start: A) ALL Update settings are set to OFF in the EA App. B) The EA App is set to Off-Line mode. 1 - Why was the EA app closed? 2 - Who closed the EA App? 3- How is a global change made to a non-updated game? On Monday, May 11, 2026, I was in off-line mode. On the Main Menu page, the background was that original blue swirly thing. I was playing one of my saves and was actually in her house. I left my computer on and the game open. The gameplay for the household was paused. I did not put my computer to sleep. The Sims 4 Update was Tuesday, May 12, 2026. I did not use my computer on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Nothing should have changed on my computer. Today is Wednesday, May 13, 2026. I went to my computer and it was in sleep mode. I did not put my computer to sleep. My computer security check is on. Much to my annoyance, the EA App was closed. (This is not the first time. I've been paying more attention.) Upon logging back into the app, I immediately went back to off-line mode. At first the game would not open. I had to log out and back in again and went back to off-line mode again. This time the game opened and much to my surprise the main menu background is the Bridgerton Ballroom. How did the main menu background change to the Bridgerton Ballroom if I am playing off-line and have not updated my game? How is the code changed and applied to my computer if I have done everything to keep that from happening? This is only possible because EA/MAXIS must be accessing my computer and making changes at will. Which would then explain why the only thing closed was the EA App. I last updated my game on April 30, 2026, My current game version is PC: 1.123.85.1020, which it should be as I have no intention to update for the next few weeks. As stated, my game is in off-line mode and all updates are turned off in the EA App settings. Before using the EA App, I NEVER had this type of intrusion into my computer. I could leave my computer on for weeks and it would not shut down nor close programs I left open. My concern is none of the other software I use has ever closed my computer and forced anything without me initiating it. I am now a bit concerned and actually afraid EA/MAXIS may be doing other things to my computer without my consent. Any explanation, as it relates to the above thereto, would be greatly appreciated.17Views0likes1Comment- ruvzvdud19o14 days agoRising Newcomer31Views0likes1Comment
EA App "Open on startup" toggle broken; no entry in Task Manager
Bug Report Form Application: EA App (Desktop Client) Platform: Windows 10 / Windows 11 Component: Application Settings → Startup Behavior Severity: High (User control violation, unintended persistence) Status: Unresolved Description: The "Open on startup" toggle switch within the Application Settings interface is non-functional. When the user attempts to disable the setting, the toggle either reverts to the "enabled" state immediately upon leaving the settings menu or fails to prevent the EA App from launching automatically after system reboot or user logon. Expected Behavior: Disabling the "Open on startup" option should prevent the EA App from launching automatically during system startup. The setting should persist across application restarts and system reboots. Actual Behavior: • The toggle appears interactive but produces no persistent effect. • The EA App continues to launch on startup regardless of the setting state. • No corresponding entry exists in Windows Task Manager → Startup tab to manually disable the behavior. • Setting the "EA Background Service" in services.msc to Manual or Disabled does not resolve the issue; the application circumvents this control. • The application re-initializes startup persistence mechanisms without user consent. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install EA App. 2. Launch EA App. 3. Navigate to Settings → Application. 4. Locate the "Open on startup" toggle. 5. Set the toggle to the off (disabled) position. 6. Close the settings window and exit EA App completely. 7. Restart the system or log out and log back in. 8. Observe that EA App launches automatically despite the setting being disabled. Troubleshooting Performed: • Uninstalled EA App completely. • Restarted the system. • Reinstalled EA App fresh. • Repeated the steps above. • Issue persists after clean installation. Additional Context: The application exhibits behavior consistent with unauthorized persistence mechanisms commonly associated with unwanted software. Specifically: • The startup setting cannot be modified through standard user-accessible controls. • The application bypasses Windows-native startup management tools (Task Manager Startup tab). • The application ignores service-level configuration changes intended to limit background execution. This lack of user control over application behavior raises significant usability and compliance concerns, particularly regarding system resource management and user consent under standard software transparency expectations. Suggested Fix: • Restore functionality to the "Open on startup" toggle to reliably enable or disable automatic launch behavior. • Ensure the setting respects Windows Startup API standards, registering or deregistering a startup entry in the appropriate registry path or shell startup folder. • Remove any undocumented or override mechanisms that re-enable startup behavior without explicit user authorization. System Information: • OS: Windows 11 Pro (25H2) • EA App Version: 13.661.0.6174 (106694-85bc9572a9) • Account Type: Local Administrator000359078 days agoNew Rookie87Views2likes1CommentEA wants to make changes, not working

Game removed from library, EA not willing to restore it
I've had Spore in my library since almost the day of the release years ago. I purchased the physical edition and redeemed the codes in the back of the manual. Today, years later, I wanted to replay it, but to my surprise the game is gone from my library. Searching it everywhere I ended up in the EA store, which to my greater surprise again, it says that I still own the DLCs, but not the base game. Contacted support via chat, and told me that since the game was purchased in the physical edition they cannot do anything and the only thing I can do is to ask for a replacement on the original store (sounds like a joke honestly, is not the store fault and Spore is not sold anymore and I purchased it 16 years ago) or to buy it again from the EA store. I know is cheap but please this feels like a scam, is there anything else I can do?SolvedMotbest10 days agoNew Novice190Views2likes7Commentsik kan mijn account niet op een ander mailadres zetten.
WizardGamer8010 days agoRising Newcomer58Views0likes1CommentWhy does the EA app display "Games have been removed from your library"?
Hey everyone, Thank you all for expressing your concerns about the "Games have been removed from your library" notification in the EA app (see below). We want to assure you that this feature is often* functioning as intended. Its recent implementation aims to reduce the number of inquiries about missing games or DLCs and provide clarity on why such items have been removed from your library. By clicking on the "VIEW DETAILS" button on the right side of the message, you can see a list of all the games that have been removed and the respective reasons for their removal. *It's important to understand that this scenario can also be triggered by a valid, temporary issue. When or if this happens, we will confirm this in the thread. Please see the 'Resolved TEMPORARY Outages Resulting in the Same Error' section below for further details. These reasons may include, but are not limited to: Expiration of an EA Play membership, Sunset of games due to discontinued online services, Removal of games due to fraudulent activities, And more. Often, the message providing the reason for removal includes a link to an EA Help article explaining the rationale behind it. For sunset games, please see our EA Help article about older EA games that aren't available. For games removed from EA Play, please see The Play List Removals. If you encounter the message "Unlisted reason" when viewing the details, it could be due to various factors, such as: The game no longer being available in EA Play, Sunset of the game, Payment issues, Problems with your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (XGPU) x EA Play connection (if you use this), Voluntary removal by the account holder or parent, Billing issues, Or self-removal of the game from the account when it was previously claimed via EA Play (a feature previously available in Origin for PC but not in the EA app). We hope this information clears up any confusion you may have. If you're still unsure why certain items were removed from your account, please don't hesitate to contact our Support team via EA Help by following https://help.ea.com/help/faq/using-ea-help. They'll help explain why those items got removed or tackle any other problems you're dealing with. Take care and game on! As question asks. In my experience creating a shortcut directly to the .exe causes issues so I'm assuming that's not a viable option. I'm not seeing any other option in the launcher to create a shortcut though, so... where is it? I got sims medieval years ago when it was on origin. the game is greyed out on the ea app (I think that version is now only usable on Microsoft and I have a Mac). I have to spend more than 6 hours re downloading an entire game on the EA app, if I want to play it on a different computer. I have installed it on my external USB SSD, but on the new computer, it doesn't detect the game, even if I set the installation folder to the external ssd ea folder. I tried to name my game folder to "backup". Then I start a fresh download via EA app. I pause it and close EA entirely. I transfer my game files to the new EA app created folder. And then start EA. And redownload it and hope it detect the files, but no... it does the same thing. it ignores the files in the folder, and just redownloads everything. In the past there was a repair function, but even that is gone now. And I recall that repair took a long time aswell. Is there any way at all to not have to spent more than 6 hours to download a game every time I want to play my EA app games on a different computer? Hello, I am having activation issues with older EA games that I legally own on CD with valid serial numbers. These games were originally registered through Origin and now appear in my EA app library. I can download and install them, but when I launch them, an old EA activation window appears and says my computer is offline and needs an Internet connection, even though I am online. One example is FIFA 12 for PC, but the same issue is happening with other older EA games on my account. I have already tried repair, administrator mode, compatibility mode, and checking firewall/antivirus settings, but nothing worked. Please check whether these games can still be activated through the EA app and whether my licenses are correctly linked to my EA account. Thank you.105Views0likes1Comment
