Why does the EA app display "Games have been removed from your library"?
Hey everyone, Thank you all for expressing your concerns about the "Games have been removed from your library" notification in the EA app (see below). We want to assure you that this feature is often* functioning as intended. Its recent implementation aims to reduce the number of inquiries about missing games or DLCs and provide clarity on why such items have been removed from your library. By clicking on the "VIEW DETAILS" button on the right side of the message, you can see a list of all the games that have been removed and the respective reasons for their removal. *It's important to understand that this scenario can also be triggered by a valid, temporary issue. When or if this happens, we will confirm this in the thread. Please see the 'Resolved TEMPORARY Outages Resulting in the Same Error' section below for further details. These reasons may include, but are not limited to: Expiration of an EA Play membership, Sunset of games due to discontinued online services, Removal of games due to fraudulent activities, And more. Often, the message providing the reason for removal includes a link to an EA Help article explaining the rationale behind it. For sunset games, please see our EA Help article about older EA games that aren't available. For games removed from EA Play, please see The Play List Removals. If you encounter the message "Unlisted reason" when viewing the details, it could be due to various factors, such as: The game no longer being available in EA Play, Sunset of the game, Payment issues, Problems with your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (XGPU) x EA Play connection (if you use this), Voluntary removal by the account holder or parent, Billing issues, Or self-removal of the game from the account when it was previously claimed via EA Play (a feature previously available in Origin for PC but not in the EA app). Downloading EA desktop from the xbox app and opening it from the xbox app created and linked the accounts automatically. I don't want this. I want to link my xbox account to an existing EA account (the one I'm using now). Unfortunately, I have no way to do that as I can't login to the newly created account and unlink my xbox account. Trying to link my xbox account with my existing EA account results in an error. The error stating that there cannot be two accounts linked to the same profile. Unfortunately, I can't unlink that account. Help? The new account name is @5080104. Created today.. Can anyone help me please! My 10 year old is on his xbox with xbox live we bought him F1 25 with the idea of myself playing with him on my pc. He's playing it offline and online and I've tried to import him as a friend through me EA app and I get '' Couldn't send request '' I thought I would log into his account put his email in and then his password and I get '' Your credentials are incorrect or have expired. Please try again or reset your password.'' I reset his password and I get them same again I don't understand what's going off what am I missing? Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Here’s the full situation: My original EA account suddenly started showing "Incorrect password" when I tried to log in. I thought I might have entered the wrong password, so I immediately tried to reset my password. Emails will not be sent to Apple’s private email relay addresses, effectively blocking users from accessing/editing their account details and potentially risking account lock out. For now, when creating a new account, it’s safer to choose another sign up option until EA fixes this. For context, EA currently supports Apple as an identity provider when signing up for an account for the first time. When signing up with Apple, users are given a choice to either share their real email or a private relay address tied to the service’s domain. When opting for the latter, it’s currently observed that emails will not be sent, preventing users from accessing any of their account details due to an identity verification code screen. In the worst case, one may be completely locked out of their account if EA were to ever require verification post account login similar to Battle.net. Looking into this problem more, it appears EA’’s has failed to satisfy Apple’s requirements. According to Apple’s documentation, the emails sent are required to be authenticated and the organization must register its outbound email domains. Otherwise, no emails will be sent to those addresses. Given what’s outlined in the documentation, it’s evident that EA has insufficiently tested the sign up with Apple feature and has failed to properly satisfy its requirements. Here we go, So I'm trying to play the sims offline as my current internet connectivity is incredibly spotty, let's go through how ''truly easy'' the app makes it for PAYING CUSTOMERS to use their platform: You have to log in to the EA App while you are connected to the internet - how is there in 2026 NOT an option to access your App offline??????????? So, I manage to FINALLY gain access to my app while online, then I go to settings to switch it to offline mode, great now the app is offline. I click on the sims to start playing - I get an error code stating that I haven't logged on in a while and I need to restart the app, log in again, so EA can verify my credentials, baring in mind I was already logged in (as you HAVE to be to access offline mode?!?!) Fine, I close the app, log in again, go to offline mode, click the the sims to play and as a surprise to nobody that uses the EA app, the same error message pops up - I've tried this now 15 times: receive the error message, close the app, restart the app online, log in succesfully, go offline, click to play my game.... and the cycle restarts (super fun groundhog day i'm having) I'm sorry but this is an absolute farce, the amount of money I've spend on buying the sims and all of it's expansions, game packs, stuff packs, (freaking KIT PACKS) since the sims 1 - and I cannot access the product which I own in a manner that works for me??????????????? And finally to EA DIRECTLY - if Origin possessed the function to access your games offline back in 2010, How is it possible that EA does not have this functionality in 2026?! How is it possible that EA has the WORST APP regarding electronic games in the entirety of technological history?! When I launch EA Sports FC 26 from Steam, the EA App takes over and often fails to launch for some reason. I switch back to Steam and try again then EA Sports FC loads in the background and I have to minimize Steam to then select the app, or worse, the app takes visual focus but not input so my controller inputs are being sent to steam still - which generally results in me shutting down the machine accidentally. Please tell me there's a better way to do things with this app. I've read that having it load on start-up can help but then it loads its UI and doesn't allow to be minimised on launch. Ive followed everythging ppl are saying to do including the ea forum answers but nothing works! My game updates automatically even if ive pressed on the thingy that says not to!
