Star wars does not start in Steam via EA
I bought Star Wars Battlefront II in steam, but I needed to download EA, and for some reason when I click the play button in steam, the game doesn't start and nothing happens at all, and in EA itself I didn't even know where to launch it, I stupidly don't have this function.
Concerns Regarding EA App and Javalin AC
Hi Guys, I have some concerns relating to the security of the "EA App" including: EA Desktop, EA LocalHost, EA BackgroundService, EACefSubProcess, and EA AntiCheat. These are my concerns: Whilst playing any EA game on my desktop for this example lets say BF2042 I notice a large number of IP connections and data transfer to/from various external IP addresses unrelated to the concurrent BF2042 connections. This concerns me for more than one reason: My EA app is set to not auto update. My EA app is set to not download during gameplay. My EA app is bandwidth limited for updates. My EA app's Overlay is disabled. My EA app seems to ignore these settings and shares many MB/s of data with these external IP's during a gaming session. The external IP's do not seem to match that of the game being played, such as BF2042 I'm concerned that your APP Suite inc EAAC is insecure, as occasionally during game play my Keyboard gets disconnected, and it's only when your app and games are running, Xbox Games do not display this same behaviour and I do not use a controller for these. I'm concerned that you are using peoples available hardware resources for some kind of mining/folding/compute servicing, which would raise legitimate criminal concerns, you see if you are doing so, then you are stealing from your customers, using their hardware and costing them money (Energy Bills) for your own gain, could be considered theft in many countries. (I'm hoping this isn't the case.) The Disconnection of peripherals comes from the fact your anti-cheat uses a Kernel-Mode driver and has FullTrust access to all machines that could potentially be accessed, abused by an attacker. Your Anti-cheat service seems to update, after every Microsoft update to windows and windows security, which seems too coincidental IMO. Like you have patched Microsoft's own measures on their OS so that your Kernel-Mode driver can still have FullTrust. I could be barking up the wrong tree, but it does seem awfully suspicious that when your software is running these are the problems that I have and the pattern I see when on a gaming session.Billed Twice, No Way To Get Refund???
Does anyone know who to contact to get a refund - I was charged twice!! I did not notice till I received my bank statement, which means I was already past the "14 day guarantee." But I do not want to return a game, I just don't want to own two copies of the same digital game because their site didn't work properly. I want my money back and my case got closed with no response. Any ideas??? I don't even care if I get it back as a credit - I'd buy more games! I just want my money back.
Game license is invalid
Please stop deleting/moving my post and actually help me!!!!! When I try to run The Sims 4 game, I keep getting this message. "The app couldn't read the game's license file, so If the problem continues, try clearing your cache." I have been having this problem since the last EA App update. I can run other games with the app. It seems only The Sims 4 is affected. I have cleared the cache several times as suggested. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App, as well as launching the EAUpdater.exe. I did the repair game option a couple of times. I have disabled my anti-virus and VPN. I have tried to find any solutions on the forum, but I have only seen other players posting about having the same problem, but not getting any answers or help. I have been playing The Sims since The Sims 1 was released. I was even a beta tester of Sims Online. I have spent so much time and money on this game and I feel like I'm just being left out in the cold. EA just wants my money, but can't be bothered to help when they break the game.
Games Missing from Library
I've just logged in to my PC after a few weeks, and I noticed that there are zero games in my EA library. I had about 6 or 7 older titles on there that are now gone. the strange thing is thought that in my update queue, it still lists complete updates for games that I no longer seemingly have. The games will launch from the installed folder on my PC, but will not show up in my library. Any advice?
transfer a game from EA to steam
Hello, I bought Plants vs Zombies GW2 about a year ago. I now would like to transfer the game on my steam account because I find it more convenient to use only one platform to access the game. But the code of the game doesn't work and I can't find a way to resolve this. I also couldn't find a way to link my two accounts from steam though I did it from the EA platform. I buyed Titanfall 2 on Steam last year and playing without any problem. Yesterday i downloaded it again and i cant play , it wants to resset my account password every time when i click it on Steam and when i want to connect my Steam and EA accounts it says that it already linked to my very old Steam account with different mail address. What i need to do ?

Friends List shows only 99 friends (Bug) ?
im experiencing an issue where my friends list only shows 99 friends even though i have more than 100 friends on my account. i tried refreshing logging out reinstalling the EA app and even checked from another account but it still shows only 99 friends it seems like this is a bug with the EA App itself not just my account is anyone else facing the same issue with the friends list showing only 99 friends please look into this and let us know if there’s a fix or if a future update will solve it Thanks
Cannot Run Games With EA App
My computer broke down so I replaced it. I Downloaded and installed the EA App on my new computer. I've only been able to download, install and play 1 game on my system (Zua's Revenge. There are a number of games on my account but will not play without getting fail errors when I try to play them. They appear to install properly but it's a no go when trying to play them. Very frustrating. Anyone having the same or similar problem and have a fix for it?
