Manager Career Mode

Product: EA SPORTS FC 25
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Please specify your platform model. Sony PlayStation 4
What is your Gamertag/PSN ID/Switch ID? darkfish678
Which mode has this happened in? Career Mode
Which part of the mode? Manager Career
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By setting up a brand new career mode
What happens when the bug occurs? When settling up my manager career mode it gave me the normal normal board objectives in this case Newcastle, and then it gives me critical board objectives instead of the original board objectives.
What should be happening instead? Giving me the normal or original board objectives

I wanted to start a brand new Newcastle manager career mode, when checking the board objectives it gives me critical board objectives instead of the normal Newcastle board objectives when originally setting up my Newcastle manager career mode.

When starting a new Manager Career mode save, ensure that you have thoroughly checked all options during setup, before progressing to the first day of the career. The default setting for Board Objectives is 'Strict', which will raise the weighting scale for all objective categories from the default displayed when selecting the club. Personally, because a number of objectives fail to register (ongoing issue, since at least FIFA 19) and remain ridiculous for second and third tier clubs, I always change the setting to 'No Sacking', however, do not disable the new Growth Objectives toggle, and attempt to complete those objectives, even though will never be sacked. Extremely helpful for the unreal objective to raise the age of the squad to 29, or play 58 rated scouted youths for fifty percent of matches in the second season.

  • Thank you for the reply. I have tried what you have suggested but I still seem to be giving ‘critical’ objectives which were not on the original board objectives when first setting up my career mode. Is there anything else I can do? Does it matter anyway if I have ‘no sacking’ enabled?
    Thank you.

Have not experienced your issue before, and only suggestion would be to configure Board Objectives to 'Lenient', and hope worse case they remain set to the club default when selecting a new Manager Career mode save. Other than an irritating visual for failing multiple objectives, there is no downfall for choosing the 'No Sacking' option; can still attempt to complete all objectives, or takeover another club in the future. While awaiting the addition of new third kits and stadiums, rumored for later this week, sometimes I swap clubs between leagues, generally Celtic and Rangers to the Premier League to replace Aston Villa and Ipswich Town. In the Scottish Premier League for those clubs, they have 'Critical' win everything or get sacked, however, after the move, the Board Objectives remain the default, but expectations are comprable to their squad rating and transfer budget; still Critical, although expecations are for finishing mid table, or avoiding relegation, instead of winning the league.

  • The issue is not in the settings.  Ever since EA stupidly decided to add a 'club growth objectives' on-off toggle, EVERY manager mode is screwed up.  Even ones started before the update.  EVERY manager mode has Critical board objectives, NO team has Continental objectives, and rest are muddled.  I have tried manipulating all settings and it makes ZERO difference.  The game is unplayable now.  How do we play a youth-focused career with 'very-low' youth objectives?  Typical EA, does anyone in their building ever actually play the game?

Turn off the club growth objective and turn on No Sacking and ignore the objectives completely.

Objectives have been broken for years.
