@Malagadave I'm having the same exact problem but on the Nintendo Switch Lite.

When I try to make a sub after halftime, while the match is playing, I'll try to swap one player out for another and it looks like it takes for a second but then it'll switch immediately back to the players I was trying to sub out and then pretty much disables the 'back' button - in my case the B button on the Nintentdo Switch.

This only started happening after I installed the last update.
