If you purchase non-EP/SP things on Origin like store worlds, either using the Origin client program or the Origin.com website, the items are not really delivered to you by way of Origin. You get a code to redeem on the store and they land in your TS3 store account as ready for download. They will work on Steam installs provided the game recognizes you as the same player (user name/email address and password). Same as with other store content, in this case Origin is merely acting as a purchasing agent. They did it this way because the TS3 store itself is no longer capable of handling cash/credit card transactions and some of these worlds cannot be purchased through store points.
