Re: Daily tournaments from 4 to 3 every 12 hours?

The 4th one that was removed was labelled as 'Launch' so I think this was deliberately just a short-term offering to help people earn a few more reward points ('coins') initially. I think they're intentionally gone now.

There's a progression across the different tournaments and what you can do for no net cost will depend how well you do. Note that the tickets won from the Pro and Tour daily tournaments can be used for entry for weekly and seasonal tournaments where some Rewards Points can be won back. There is a free-to-play mechanic here but not if you repeatedly enter tournaments that you aren't yet good enough to be competitive in. I currently do the free and Pro level daily tournaments, with my winnings from the free tournament covering the cost of the latter. I'm not good enough currently to also sustainably play the Tour level tournament though.

Right now I actually really appreciate the daily/weekly/seasonal tournament element in the game as something to aim at outside of career mode (which I've yet to start).

Even if you hit winner rank in all 3 "dailies" you're on a net loss coins wise. You'd need to do well in the week tournaments to recover anything, assuming you have enough coins to play enough in the dailies that give tickets and do well to cover ticket cost for those. So either I do well during those week tournaments and put all my tickets on the line and better be doing well or I am screwed for weeks after cuz I just wasted so many coins in entry fees to tickets to not make enough back.. yea that seems nice lol.. most of those rewards don't cover the amount of money you could potentially lose from placing badly. I'm by no means horrible at this but I definitely have my less bright moments lol.. can only imagine how some other people are getting on with this system

To add onto this, I mainly play tournaments lol as they were the best way to getting coins if I wanted to buy new gear. Now it just seems like if you mess up one expensive weekly it'll mess you up for a while. The risk/reward seems rather imbalanced. But eh guess that's just me for now? The challenges seem hardly worth it besides experience. Giving 500 coins is a pittance on quests. And 1500 coins on daily when you are in winner rank is a 500 coin net win if you also play the 1000 coin buy in.. how nice.. so if I want to buy smth from the store this week you'd be screwed as you'll need to wait till next week after a store refresh to even get your coins from the week tournaments

Have you checked out the Sponsor Challenges as a way to get clothing?

I think we were a bit spoiled by how easy it was to earn Rewards Points from the launch daily tournaments so that the offering now doesn't feel so great. I could see it coming though so I just took the attitude of making the most of it while it lasted.

Shop prices aren't cheap and I don't suppose EA would be desperately upset if this encouraged some to pay some real money to be able to buy a few items... Right now it doesn't look wildly imbalanced in terms of me gradually being able to accrue coins through gameplay alone but time will tell.

In terms of the daily pay to enter tournaments I'll probably be thinking in terms of how many times I need to do so to get the tickets I need for one entry to each weekly and seasonal tournament I fancy but no more.
