Re: Pedals?

@TigerAlen410On a console, your only option is to use the Logitech G Racing Adapter to connect a different Logitech pedal set to your system.
The only sensible option would be the Logitech G Pro Racing Pedals as they use load cell sensors instead of the potentiometers of every other Logitech offering.

Beyond that, the reigning tech in pedals are load cells for the brakes. That should be your starting point, but any further advice is completely dependent on your system and budget.

There's a sea of info and useful guides on Youtube though. Simracing is in a good place right now.

Edit:

Clip should start at 6:18

For a breakdown between load cell pedals and potentiometers, this is fair and to the point:

Mind you though that if you find your G29 pedals too stiff, you're better off modding it. Load cells are still the superior tech and any good LC pedal will be customizable enough to set it as light as the standard Logitech pedal, but you'll be hard pressed to find someone on the community running their brakes that light. If I'm not mistaken, the standard Logitech brake pedal takes something like 20 or 25kgf tops to depress 100%. So if you don't like having it stiff, it's cheaper to either mod it or to put in the effort to use it to the fullest instead of shelling out for a LC set that you'll cap for like 10-15% of its range.

The LC brake would still perform better, but that's not wise spending in my books.

  • @mariohomoh i am playing on PC.

I've heard from various people and my experience also that the pedals are not so good specially the brake since it's not the technology you say, it's hard to be accurate and make minor adjustments smoothly im finding it quite a struggle.

That's why I am interested in different pedals, I will check a bit your videos and see what they say.

As I said, on consoles you're restricted. On PC you can mix and match whatever devices you want as specified by the vendor. Most pedals support a USB connection directly to the PC.

I do not know of EA games support that though, two autonomous connections, but every simracing title worth its salt does.

Reputable brands from the top of my mind:

    • Simcube
    • Asetek
    • Fanatec
    • Thrustmaster (their LC pedal set is divisive though)
    • Moza

It's an extensive catalog from most brands, I don't recall their price brackets. You'll find reviews for every one in Boosted Media's Youtube channel.

You'll probably need a rig of some sort though. The usability of these pedals on the floor or carpet range from poor to impracticable

  • @mariohomohyes I was reading about this, that you can't have them like this, I will need some racing seat setup it seems also... need to also verify if f1 23 supports these pedals + g29 wheel
