@jogi1666 I have also wondered this. Is this how it is like every year with the champions edition? Last year I bought the regular disc, and paid extra later for the champions edition upgrade. Nothing changed, except the bonuses were unlocked. This years regular cover is awful. At least last year they were altogether with a matching background. So this year, I preordered the champions edition because it was even advertised on PSN as a unique cover art with EA sponsor Max. But, as a preorder the cover art was Max and then changed to the regular cover art version a few days before downloading began!

@RVladimiro So basically what you're saying is, nobody has or gets a version with Max as the cover art? If that's the case, it's pretty dumb... Why bother at all, with creating a champions edition cover?

@Halpen4 To promote it?! It's marketing. It's true that you don't get the "cover" with Max (in fact it's the entry screen) but you get the pack with Max's livery, gloves, suit, and helmet. A lot better than a cover if you ask me.

@RVladimiro What are you saying? Why does it have to even be one or the other? What I would have expected is what they promoting to advertise! Is that too much to ask? Why can't we get both... Max livery, gloves, suit, and helmet with Max as the cover art for our digital champions edition versions?

@Halpen4 I didn't say we can't have both. I'm saying I don't care about the start screen. Keep in mind they didn't promote or advertise that Max would appear on the start screen. It's just an image to differentiate the two versions and nowhere did EA or Codemaster say that the image would be present in-game. You had the expectation, it was never announced and it is not even common in digital distributed games.

And look, I'm a Max fan, I appreciate the items in game, but maybe I'm just too old to understand what the fuss is about. 🙂

@RVladimiro I'm not trying or wanting to argue with you over this. But EA and Codemasters aren't the ones who made it seem like we were purchasing an exclusive cover, it was actually The PlayStation Store where I digitally bought it from. Believe it or not but one of their comparison differences between regular game version and champions edition was a bullet point regarding the inclusion lf the Max cover art! So, what customer would expect anything less. The fact they don't deliver this, but use it as a selling feature isn't really our fault. Plus, I'm not at all just taking on game start up screen. Mostly I would have expected to see the image they presented of Max with his EA sponsorship helmet as the game icon as well. When I'm seeing every game I own on the PS4, as I scroll across... The icon or cover art should not be what I see right now! Which is 3 drivers, instead of it being just red bull.
