Re: GG Cheater

@Tobi90Ger How would this be something that Steam/Valve would care about? Valve has no obligation to do anything about it.
It's all on Codemasters and EA as it is their game and their choice to not implement any anti-cheat software.

I and other champions flagged a few cheat modders including this one in the last week.  EA and Codemasters are aware

@ScarDuck14  Without any type of anti-cheat, it's impossible to combat and "win" against the cheaters/manufacturers, as they will always be at least one step ahead. The blatant disregard that is being shown from EA and Codies are laughable.

I can't change a texture in My Team and play online without getting booted, but cheaters can add infinite grip or whatever and play online without issues, how does that make any sense?

@Tobi90Ger That's still on Codemasters and EA and not something that Steam/Valve would do. As the game doesn't use VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat), there's nothing for Valve to do in this matter.

@dotazured Whatever action EA/Codemasters take or don’t take is obviously something I’m not privy to. But I am told by those who are that Codemasters do take it seriously 🤷🏻‍♂️.
  • well, i wonder what the option at Steam is about, when you join the profile, you can report the account
you can also tell Steam that this profile is using Hacks in game X

@ScarDuck14I think that the fact that there's still no anti-cheat speaks for itself.

@Tobi90GerAgain, it's not anything that Valve can or would do anything about. If EA want to ban an account which are infringing on the EA's ToS they can ban the connected EA account and thus making the player unable to use the online part of the game. But as the game does not use VAC, Valve would not ban or delete any Steam account. This is 100% on EA and Codemasters to sort out.

  • btw i received an Email from EA after i reported the Cheating Account

it was in german  so i translated it in english,

THE ACTING OF EA IS ONCE AGAIN UN-BE-LIEV-ABLE

I also got the mail several times after reporting cheaters. Outrageous that EA/Codemasters does absolutely nothing here.

How to report cheaters? EA always redirect to help.ea.com/en/help/faq/report-players-for-cheating-abuse-and-harassment/

...except that no Formula 1 game exist in the list.
