Re: Tour or Pro skill level?

800 hours played.

Prefer pro match play because matches last longer and it's easier to find an opponent. Tour is more fun to play but winning 5&4 without challenge or having an opponent quit after two holes isn't. Regardless of views on what is a more 'pure' golf experience, most people suck at tour and won't play it.

If I want more of a strategic experience I'll enter the tour and sim tournaments. If I was doing private matches with friends I'd prefer tour or sim, but that's not really your question.

You probably sum it up really good. Gazak is one of the top player on PS5 and he goes like this on Match play Season 11:

    Pro 73 - 0 - 1

    Tour 21 - 0 - 2

    Sim 38 - 0 - 0

I've always looked at a positive if your opponent quits the match after you are dominating them.

You get a win for them leaving and move up the leaderboards for it. If you make them quit because you're outplaying them that's just more proof that you have validity in your skill.
If it was a landslide match in my favor. I'd prefer them to leave the game early for an easy win. I know they might not be having fun, and I'm also not because I don't have a competition.
The proof is in the pudding. That's not a bad thing...

To be fair. Out of the last 100 games I've played online, I've only had 6-9 people leave.

I do agree that most people suck at Tour. Because new players are a custom to the pro skill, (because Pro is the entry level skill in the game).
That may be the reason why Pro is more populated if it actually is?
