Download protonup-qt in discover store. Install batch GE-proton7-34. Once downloaded close and restart steam. Go into properties and click compatibility. Once there scroll to the GE-proton7-34 tab. Close window. Run f122 it’ll download the proton file and presto. No more ego dump error crap actually get to use buttons etc. took me a while to figure it out.

Update you Mesa Driver :
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kisak/kisak-mesa
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
And use GE-proton7-34 version.
Work fine.

An upcoming patch will aim to fix this issue from our side, however, there is an 'unofficial' workaround from @civicstyle01 you can try should you wish to.
Please note that doing this may result in adverse effects.
