Let Us Control Teammate Strategy + Smarter AI for F1 26 Career Mode
To elevate realism in My Team Career Mode, we need the ability to control our teammate's race strategy with options to adjust it mid-race based on evolving conditions, just like real teams do. Currently, teammates are frustratingly slow (especially from F2), and we have no say in their race decisions, which breaks immersion. Additionally, the AI is overly passive and one-dimensional: fast on straights but weak in corners, always leaving space and too easy to exploit. AI difficulty should be balanced, not just based on straight-line speed. For elite players (e.g., F1 Esports drivers), there should be an option for AI up to 120 to allow meaningful competition. Hello EA Sports F1 team, As a frequent fan and player of the F1 saga, I would like to share a series of suggestions that could significantly improve the gaming experience in future installments such as F1 26, taking inspiration from other titles such as EA FC, Madden or NBA 2K. 1. Dynamic interviews and realistic narrative Bring back the interviews in the career mode and "My Team", where the answers affect reputation, relationships with teams and media. That the player's decisions influence how he is perceived by the press, fans and colleagues. 2. Greater customization of the pilot Allow you to create a pilot from scratch with facial editor, height, free nationality and personalized features. Currently there are only default models, which limits the variety. 3. More options to customize cars and teams Include a more advanced layout editor or the option to share creations with the community. More freedom to create unique shields, colors and styles in My Team mode. 4. Deeper management in "My Team" Assume the full role of CEO: hire technicians, manage budget, sponsors and marketing. That the performance of the car and the pit stops depend on the level of the technical staff. Possibility to choose which pilot to use or see both from the wall and control strategy. Contracts with drivers, rumors of signings, rivalries and team morale. 5. Audience and more realistic setting That the support of the local fans is noticeable depending on the country or pilot. Examples: The Tifosi with giant blankets in Italy McLaren fans supporting Piastri in Australia Sergio Pérez fans filling the stadium in Mexico Animations prior to each session showing emotion of the audience, as in a real broadcast. 6. Update of the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome The Mexico circuit still shows the Foro Sol, when it is now the GNP Seguros Stadium. It would be good to visually update that area to reflect how it currently looks. 7. Special designs inspired by real Grand Prix Some teams present unique liveries for certain events (such as McLaren in Monaco). It would be great if these designs arrived as additional content even after the event. 8. Integration with collaborations and official clothing Include costumes or visuals based on real collaborations (Puma, Boss, etc.). 9. Return of legendary cars It would be great to see cars like: Ferrari F2004 (Schumacher) Renault R25 (Alonso) McLaren MP4/4 (Senna) Red Bull RB9 (Vettel) Useful in time trial, challenges or story mode with flashbacks. These ideas would bring realism, variety and immersion. Hi EA Sports F1 Team, Please add fully realistic car damage in F1 26. Not just damaged wheels or a broken wing — I want the entire car to distort and be damaged in all areas after crashes. Hi EA Sports F1 Team, Please add realistic mechanical failures to F1 26, like: Engine overheating Gearbox issues ERS or DRS malfunctions Suspension or hydraulic problems These should depend on car setup, driving style, and race conditions. Hi EA Sports F1 Team and Community, Please add customizable race rules for F1 26 with options like: Ultra Light: Few penalties, soft or no damage for casual fun. Strict: Penalties close to real FIA rules, moderate damage. Realistic: Full FIA penalties, instant warnings for small track cuts, full car damage that can completely destroy the entire car—not just wheels or wings. Also, improve driver faces and expressions for more realism. Add a free play mode where players choose rules, weather, damage, and settings like FC 26. --- Why? The AI make impossibly fast times in Q3 What do you expect to see? slightly faster AI q3 times, but not 2 seconds quicker than q2 I am generally 0.5-0.8 seconds off 1st quring q1 and q2 but in q3 I will be over 2 seconds slower. I would like to kindly ask if it would be possible to expose the Delta Time data (the one shown on the steering wheel display and during time trial mode) in the UDP specifications of F1 25. This value would be incredibly useful . I truly appreciate your work and understand that every addition comes with complexity, but this feature would make a big difference for many of us working on third-party tools. I came across this weird bug with the safety car. Formula 1 Hub - 2019 Season - Grand Prix 2019 Season - Abu Dhabi GP (using McLaren MCL34 with Norris) - Stage 4 - Goal 3 of 4. The aim of this race is to not overtake the safety car, and stay behind it. After driving over half the lap I find the safety car. I follow it, up until one of the later turns where there is another safety car. The original safety car overtakes the second one, if I overtake this second one to follow the original one it gives me a DNF, and after the first lap behind the 'fake' safety car is completed, Hamilton (also a safety car btw), keeps trying to overtake me. There is literally no space between the 'fake' safety car, myself, and Hamilton. See the screenshots. I'm on Season 9 of F1 2021 The Official Video Game's career mode, and I made it so that it would start with Portugal. After I finished OSQ, I was given an interview. I have an attachment here, one before the questions, and as you may be able to see in the clip, the camera, models and sound is completely frozen on the first frame, with the exception of a flag that's nearly out of frame and the shadow for said flag. I was able to press A to continue to the questions, but however, when I answered the last question, I was not able to continue. Long story short, everything went well until 10 days ago when I was about to be promoted to Safety Rating A (which I achieved before but dropped back to B due to no fault of my own), the game gave me a message that I have only 2 more races to complete, when the B-rated person I was playin' with suddenly bailed on me and left me hangin'. And after that I simply cannot play Ranked anymore, neither with him nor with anyone else (I tried with S, C and no rated, didn't work). I dont know if EA listens to the community but the f1 games absolutely need two thing in the future psvr support Historic cars and tracks / old layouts options I feel like EA is working every year on changing drivability and updating liveries Instead of making a reskined f1 game that drives different every year , they should stick with one solid base , one that they could build on top of and spend time to develop other cars , old f1's , i know its quite the task because every era drives differently but it would be awesome and would be a real racing game! Dear Fellow Co-Players of F1 mobile Racing! EA Sports has taken the unjust and arbitrary decision to close down Our Game by 24th of May. Many complained individually but nothing happened. So we The Players now decided to take action. I put together a draft of a Complaint intended to be delivered to EA Sports so they: a) either change their decision and keep the game running as before (updates, events etc.) or b) give us back all our money to the last penny spent. Please read it and let me know on it. If you have remarks etc. Also make sure you, too, sign The Complaint. A. INTRODUCTION EA SPORTS, an Internet and Platforms Gaming Construction company, for about two years now is the new owner of F1 mobile racing, a mobile racing game on Androids and IOS (hereinafter called The Game). By its decision to, arbitrarily and without sound reason, shut down The Game, EA Sports violates Commercial laws and commits fraud against 35,000,000 players who have been playing this game and who are now helpless against EA’s unjustified decision. B. IMPORTANT DATA 1. EA Sports bought The Game from CodeMasters (? IS THIS CORRECT?) in …… (I NEED A DATE HERE) 2. Till then The Game had some technical issues but was running ok and every year we got updates and the players were happy overall. 2. After a couple of years after buying The Game, that is around January 2024 (AGAIN IS THIS AN ACCURATE DATE?) all of a sudden and with no due reason EA Sports announces to us through The Game that it has taken the “difficult decision” to shut down the game. See Attached photo #1, their own announcement in The Game. 3. Per EA’s own allegation, see Attached photo #2, there are 35,000,000 who play The Game. This is a huge Market. 4. We, the players, say Market as we are not just players, WE ARE CUSTOMERS, so this is not “just a game” but a business (commercial) enterprise and thus it falls under and follows ALL COMMERCIAL REGULATIONS applying globally and locally for each country, thus this Complaint which we are determined to follow through even with legal actions if needed as it is explained further on. 5. Further more, we the players have sound reasons to believe that EA Sports’ decision violates in many aspects all commercial laws around the globe and in every country and for this it is unethical and unprofessional, as: 5a. No matter how much, we the Players, wrote to EA individually, we never got a good and REASONABLE response Why EA is shutting down The Game. 5b. More importantly we have sound reasons to believe that EA has amassed millions from The Game in the last couple of years that they own The Game as, to give you an example from a short survey we recently did, just 2 out of the 35 million players (namely Mr. Alan Whelan and Mr. Theo Sismanides) have paid close to 5,000 euro (!!!) for the last 5 years. All those records are available through our Apple Store Financial History. See Attached Photos #3 as an example. 5c. Last but not least, we the Players, have strong reasons to believe that EA Sports intentionally bought The Game to SHUT DOWN COMPETITION in a sneaky and thus illegal manner. Let us explain: EA Sports owns and runs, for many years, even before they bought The Game, a competitive to The Game, racing application called Real Racing. As EA sports is closing down The Game it continuously, annoyingly and unethically PROMOTES their game, Real Racing version 3 (hereinafter called RR3) to all of us, the dedicated Players of The Game. See attached photo #4. This attitude is not just unethical but shows the real intentions of EA Sports in essence to hijack The Game and take all of Its players for RR3 by shutting down the competition by The Game which they now own. They wanted to create a monopoly for RR3. That was their intention in buying The Game, not to SERVE THE CUSTOMERS AND CONDUCT FAIR BUSINESS WITH THEM. To clarify things (as this becomes a Legal Matter for us now) we are NOT JUST “players”. We are THE CUSTOMERS to put it in the correct commercial wording as “The Game” in essence is a Commercial Transaction performed through the Internet between an X company, in this case EA sports, and “a player”, a person who agrees to participate and who can pay money or invest time for the game, who then becomes The Customer. And we The Customers have paid our good money for years and have devoted so much time and effort and dedication for years in The Game, that we reckon that we have rights per any commercial law as explained above that are being violated by EA Sports’ decision to shut down The Game. C. CONCLUSION So we The Customers have decided to take any action, even resort to Legal if needed, to protect our rights not just for The Game but for all games and such digital transactions which more and more take place on the Internet and seek justice against the violations of huge digital corporations and their arbitrary, unsound and unjust decisions as in the case of EA sports and The Game, the F1 mobile racing game.
