Re: New Community Manager | EA_Kent

Hi everyone, 

We're thrilled to have you here with us on Answers HQ! I know that many of you are coming over from the Codemasters forums, and it's cool to see a passionate, tight-knit community like this around the F1 series. 

I'll share some background on myself while I've got the opportunity. I've been working at EA since 2015, originally on the social media side with Twitter and Facebook. I came over to Answers HQ in 2019 to have a chance to talk to our communities more directly. Like BarryBL mentioned, I do also help out with other boards including Apex Legends, GRID, FIFA Mobile, and some others. 

I'm really excited to get to know everyone and for the future of the F1 community here on AHQ. You'll see some other EA faces helping out on these boards, so feel free to say hi and reach out to us if you need a hand.

While my DMs are open, we get a lot of messages and it's not really feasible for us to do one on one help in direct messages. If there's something you need help with it's best to create a thread, and I or one of the other EA folks can take a look. 

Hi there, 

Is it possible to have female drivers in F1 2021 or F1 2022? I'd like to get the game if I can create a driver for my wife to have as my teammate in a 2 player career.

Its been possible in the last couple of games, so see no reason that it would have been removed.

@pawel567 I wish I could take off XP or downvote you, but I can't. I guess we're both frustrated! 😬

I was hopeful more of some new info or taster / teaser, or maybe something along the lines of the Deep Dives that @BarryBL brought us for patches but a preview. At the moment it's random creators (and I don't subscribe to many / all) doing random dev interviews. Forum is vital to join that up. Thankfully, the COMMUNITY is doing a great job over here (EA Answers)!

I posted an update on a BETA program just a bit ago. You can check it out here when you have the chance. 

In regards to promotional videos I don't have the details, but with previous game launches we'll often release more videos as we approach the launch date. I'd recommend keeping an eye out on the EA Sports F1 Twitter page and the official game website for more news and updates. 

@EA_Kent if I could downvote for the silent moderation, I would 😬
