Re: F1® 22 - Patch 1.10 Discussion Thread

@WollcottStill don't understand why you bother getting the license for the track itself if you don't put it in Career Mode to give it more variety, sorry.

I mean, for real, I'm stuck running 16 race seasons to at least run different tracks each season for a bit of variety at the very least.

    So... after this patch force feedback on my g29 wheel has just gone. It is acting like the game has no force feedback support, whatever setting I use. Even when I re install logitech drivers. It just not working.
    And game starded to have a lot of frame drops... On my PC (i5 7th gen processor, 16 GB of RAM, SSD, GeForce 1060 6 GB RAM), F1 2021 was working perfectly (stable 80FPS) on high settings, here on F122 I have about 40FPS with drops to 20 on the lowest settings!!! Strange thing is that on the benchmark mode I hve 60-80FPS even on the high settings...

    @LuckyNico92 because just as many people play it online. simple. But generally i could ask the same thing about all the glitches in the game and things such as wrong tire allocation. Why not solely fix it for multiplayer since there it leaves a much bigger mark other than in offline. Same for Parc Ferme.
    Licenses are very complicated. There are sponsors involved too and Grand Prix promoters. its not simply a thing between EA and FOM.

    For my FFB issues, fix from this post is working, even shift lights started to work as it should.

    But still nothing for unstable FPS issue...

    @Ultrasonic_77

    Since dlss support is a very important performance feature...

    Any chance you can contact anybody to have a look at that point...

    I also tried to post that problem in the "technical issues section" but unfotunately got moved into "general discussion"

    @Bl00dyMaryHave you tried verifying your installation? Because for me DLSS works fine (actually it works even better than before). If you used the new dll from Spiderman revert back as that doesn't work in F1 22.

    Alternatively if you are on PC and you cannot select the option on the menu you can try to enable it via the settings and see if now it works. You need to go to C:\Users\(youraccount)\Documents\My Games\F1 22\hardwaresettings and open hardware_settings_config.xml (or config_VR if you use VR) in Notepad (or any other document editor) and change the line that begins with:

    <antialiasing taa="true" ...

    to look like this:

    <antialiasing taa="true" checkerboard="false" cmaa2="false" dlss="true" cas="0" fsr="0" fsr2="0" />

    Now you should have DLSS selected.

  • @Amioram
    i already verified the game..
    also did test different dlss versions... no luck

    but thanks for the info that it seams to still work on 1.10...
    thought it was a mayor issue...
    so now i have to find the problem in my system i think

    @Bl00dyMaryTry to force it ON doing what I've specified above (with the edit). See if now the option is selected on the menu and if the game starts.

    As a last resort delete the all xml files in that folder and every setting (and info about them) will reset in the game. If the problem is caused by some bugged configuration in this way you can fix the issue.

  • @Amioram
    thanks for that... but my config looks exactly like it should and still no dlss ingame...

    also deleted the f1 22 folder

    like i wrote before... worked fine in 1.09
    didn't change anything in game or on my system...
    and now with 1.10 no more dlss to select

    will do a gpu driver reinstall tomorrow and see if that helps

    To all those who experienced corrupt saves, and excessive force feedback with their wheels in a collision in patch 1.10 - we have released a hotfix for these that's now rolling out across all platforms.

    You can read the notes for this here.

    And we have a separate discussion thread for this hotfix here.

    @Amioram
    got it working after gpu driver reinstall...
    THX for all your tips

    EDIT: by far best dlss version for this game atm 2.4.3... nearly no dlss smearing
