Re: F1 Manager 23

@TotosHeadphones This gotta be the first year in a long while where I'll fully refrain from getting any F1 related game on the release window.

F1 Manager still needs to prove itself entertaining and engaging on the long run for me to dip into it again.

@mariohomoh I think that good practice regardless of the game.; let the initial hype die down and see how the developer deals with with feedback and bugs. I now give it a few weeks for player reviews to build too.

In terms on F1 Manager what are you looking for so that you can scream at other principals to fix their ****ing cars?! 🤣

@TotosHeadphones Well for a manager game, it sure felt like all those clickable buttons and decimal cases and driver stats and part stats and facility stats just masked what was actually a single proper, optimal way to play the game 🙃

From R&D to race strategy, it felt very shallow. Thus the issues with tyres and pace, though admittedly I didn't check the game again after the meatier updates to see if it improved.

Aside from the veneer or neat F1 presentation, I often found myself struggling with the "come again, why am I not playing motorsport manager?"

@mariohomoh I totally understand you. I get that it lacked personality. I think we discussed this some time ago when it was first released. You raised some very good points last time also.

From what I read a large portion of the team that headed Motorsport Manager, Playsport, went on to Frontier games. That's why there are bits which are quite reminiscent of MM, and with that, the same faults that hindered the original game. Having said that, MM is highly customisable; I've spent the last four/five months following a brilliant MM project which has rewritten the AI, racing behaviour, tyre bands, near about everything about the game. It's great work and makes it far more enjoyable.

Also did I say that Motorsport Manager 2 (PC) is on the way....
