Whnd PS5 launched the console had serious issue with Rest mode. A lot of games would crash with rest mode features enabled. Would also randomly put PS5 in rest mode and Worst cases would result in bricking the console.
Even though Sony have said they have fixed it. There are reports that rest mode continues to cause games to crash. Albeit not as often or as severe, 3 games I know it has crashed are COD Cold War, F1 2021 and F1 22. Interestingly all 3 can be played at 120fps.
I have rest mode disabled and games all run great. On occasion I’ve reset settings and forgot to disable rest, I realise when a game I’m playing crashes🤷🏻♂️
