Re: Getting CPU vs. CPU back in offline franchise mode for Madden 15

Some off us like to play GM and build the team and watch the results. some of us enjoy watching the games unfold even the games no involving our team like the seasons super bowl and big playoff matchups. even important regular season matchups i enjoy viewing i dont enjoy just playing the game because winning the super bowl every year by me playing is very dull i enjoy the owner/gm experience of running the team

I use the work around. I've been doing madden cpu vs cpu since the beginning. It gives me the GM feeling. Bring it back as this has a bigger following than you think. You are also leaving out the football fans who are disabled...aka our military vets etc. bring it back or when other companies start making football games, and know that that day is coming soon, you will lose my 25 years of support.
  • I know how to play to play CPU vs CPU on madden 15. I do it all the time. All you have to do is go to player and save it how it is and have him be undrafted and last on the depth chart in his position. Do this for all 32 teams which shouldn't take too long. You must have 2 controllers so that it can work. go to a game and select the teams with the 2 controllers and watch the magic happen with CPU gameplay. Make sure your player can't get in by putting him way down the depth chart so they can stay out the whole game and let the CPU game play out. 👍

Indeed, this is a workaround, but what a pain in the A@#. Not only do you have to create a 3rd string player for every team but some of them will become starters over time, which means you have to retire them and create a new one because you can't control the depth chart with a created player. It doesn't take long to retire the player and create a new one, so no big deal but this shouldn't be necessary. This is also not such a big deal if you don't want to control anything in your league (if you just want to sim everything and let the computer control everything). However, there is are bigger issues if you use coaches or owners to control all the teams in your league as I do. I've created a very customized league with hundreds of legends and I want to be able to switch to an owner or coach to fix roster problems that happens because the AI does stupid things sometimes (for example, the Colts had Manning and Luck the first year, but Manning retired leaving Luck the clear #1 QB but the AI decided to release him after week 1 for some unknown reason. If I had a created player for simming purposes then I would need to retire him, switch to a coach, fix it, then retire the coach and create a new player. This means that you have to retire the coaches or owners anytime you need to create the "sim player". If you don't care that all your coaches and owners are gone then no big deal I guess, but again, THIS IS RIDICULOUS THAT YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL OF THIS JUST TO HAVE THE CPU PLAY A GAME IN FRANCHISE MODE.

I can't fathom any reason why they can't just unlock the "controller select" in this mode.
