First of all, unless you hit the lottery or something, NOBODY needs to spend ANY money on this game. I made this mistake once and spent $50 on a pack (I don't remember what pack it was) and I got a bunch of useless SH**. For every pack of whatever EA is selling (coins or cash) they say that the purchase will give you a CHANCE at something good. Most of the time you'll get bullsh**.
As far as the domination events go I feel like they are a relatively easy thing for the most part. Offensively (comeback), with the time that you're given and your starting position on the field I would stick with long pass plays. Regardless of what your offense is rated at compared to the defense they (somehow, someway) are mostly on point and will (mostly) intercept any lob passes...stick to bullets.
Defensively speaking, I usually go with a cover defense. The defensive events that I've played have asked to shut the offense out. In this case I've found that coverage defenses work for me. Specifically, pick a coverage defense and then tap on the furthest (on screen) right line backer and then rush the QB. In my experiences 7 or 8 times out of 10 you can either sack the QB or you'll make him throw an errand pass and it'll be incomplete or, better yet, picked off.
