Re: Madden 16 cfm player progression

Glad I am not alone in experiencing this. This problem is making CFM almost unplayable for me. When can we get some sort of fix, EA?

I went so far as to edit a new roster, took about 4 hours.. started a new CFM and played a game.. then I saw the same thing (not surprisingly), that the progression just isn't part of the game anymore... even after the 4 hour roster edit... this just isn't fun anymore if I cant progress. Not everyone just wants to play online and buy MUT packs or whatever they are... common EA FIX THIS NOW!

I personally don't like or care to play MUT. I only get the game for the enjoyment of taking crappy teams and making them into dynasties and moving them all over. After playing one season and seeing the progression of the players which was none of course, I decided to see if this was an issue. Upon reading several sites and threads I have realized that they ruined the CFM for me and I am officially done playing this game until they fix it......So sad, this mode is the only reason I even buy this game

  • Ok, so the new patch is out... and WTF?!  Am I just missing it?  Is EA completely ignoring the offline CFM players?

The Game Prep options don't appear different at all, so after the talk, I don't see how the problem is fixed now.  Am I missing it?

I think the commissioner of a CFM can change the amount of XP earned by players, similar to a slider set. For example, I believe at the moment the default setting would be at 100%, and you can increase or decrease that %. So if you set it to 200%, players would earn double to what they were previously earning.

If that feature exists, I can't find it in offline CFM

Confirmed. In the connected franchise menu, slide all the way to the right (options), and it should be right there. Hallelujah!
  • SGT_Maez - what console are you playing on?  I'm on 360 and I don't see it.  Some explanation from EA would be nice about now.

I could be wrong, but I also think it only appears in a newly created CFM, which is annoying

So.. what are sensible settings? Like, if you start a league now, what should you use?

Is 100% like it was before?

In that case is 500% reasonable? 1000%?

  • One final rant and then I'm officially done with EA.

EA, you've lied to us.  Repeatedly.  As a 360 owner, I read all the new features for Madden 16, even reading all the fine print.  I've bought nearly every Madden for the last 25 years.  There was not one mention of "... except on PS3 and Xbox360" that I found, anywhere.  I was told the game included all these new features.  It doesn't.

Even in the release notes for Patch #3, there is a section for Connected Franchise Mode which lists new fixes including XP sliders, even a whole new game mode.  You failed to mention "except on PS3 and Xbox360."  Another lie.

The fact is that you removed features from the 360 version that make the game playable (XP progression).  All you had to do was leave those features in the freaking game.

I live by an Honor Oath.  The truth is very important to me.  If you'd have come out at the very beginning and said "we're phasing out the older generation consoles, so all our real development work is being done on PS4 and Xbox One," I'd have thanked you.  I would have stuck with Madden 15, continued my offline franchise, and then when I do upgrade to a newer console, I'd have been all over the newest Madden.  But you lied by omission, and I don't take well to being lied to.

I am forever done with the Madden franchise, and I don't say that lightly.  And I'm done with EA.

Did you try creating a new CFM?

Oh wait, my bad. The XP sliders only unlock for newly created online CFMs. Not sure if this solves the PS3/360 issue.
