Re: Experienced Madden 22 Review and Plea for Change - Including Mobile

@apawnilation The new game has no real informational structure in-game and your left just to aimlessly go through the events.
IE; when upgrading a player with Trading Points you’re not given how many you have total to know how much or often to upgrade a player.

  • @apawnilation  @lkbroach  Take it serious, bro, follow the NFL’s lead and make this experience better.  Read this article or search NFL Madden Crowdsource to see, the NFL hears our complaints outside of this forum.  It needs to be better in many ways that have been asked for throughout the past several years.  We can express that here but it won’t develop into in-game changes/progress.

The moderators here are awesome and help as much as they can, but ultimately big programmatic decisions on ‘vision’ for the app are made nowhere near user feedback and in-game experience.

To gauge income impacts, just tap Message Boards above and see how many games are in the EA library.  The Madden Mobile demand was so big year one it crashed their servers daily because they didn’t anticipate the demand.  They weren’t prepared to capture and grow an audience they didn’t know would be so big.  They struggled with hacking security, in-game exploitations of vulnerabilities and bugs, third party sellers of coins/content.  They’ve had to take the whole app down to reset statuses and standings because of many of those issues.  It makes money but they’ve never capitalized on the growth potential.  Over these seven/eight years of App changes for Madden, they’ve not grown at rates that attract profit and loss attention from management and so they can continue on as-is.  Madden Mobile isn’t big enough to make or break EA so it can be a small team to lead and manage it as long as it doesn’t fail.  You’ll see that once you graduate and join a 500+ person company.  Some things just don’t get the attention some people think it should.

Anyway, read this or search for yourself NFL Madden Crowdsource to verify the ongoing efforts:

You are making my point for me. Thanks! However, I appreciate your suggestions and I’ll peruse the articles!

We shouldn’t have to go outside this forum! My argument is that EVERYTHING we need to know to play the game should be within the game under the (i) Information that they provide, so they’re easily capable of providing all we need to know in-game.

I’m the Commissioner of my League and no one comes here to learn how to play, except me.

I do to communicate Tips to our members from what I learn on here, but the time it takes me to read and post would better be served in just playing Madden Mobile.

I’m glad they brought back Cash rewards again this year, as I’ve spent tons of $$ since the very first year they came out with the Mobile version and now I won’t have too!

I have mixed feelings on not having an AH but it does slow the competition down and allows for more parity which is a positive.

Thanks for your comments and hope you have a great year!!!

  • @lkbroach  I thought I was moving along well, got to Level 10 and started Arena to see what rewards I needed from there to keep going.  Last three matchups were against squads 700+ overall higher than my 2,200.  They had guys in 90s everywhere.  Ball wasn’t even snapped to a shotgunned QB before they were there to meet him for a sack.

My Nick Chubb Uncommon Level 15 with 92 Speed still gets chased down in the open field by fat guys wearing numbers in the 90s.  Tapping a receiver and the ball is still flying to the other side of the screen to a receiver that was nowhere near my tap or a first down.

Seems like the mid to end of Genesis Stage 3 is my roadblock.  Gotta have three level 15 guys and then AFC Helmets to do things.  Haven’t been able to unlock those yet so I’m not sure how I get over that without real $.

Sorry bout that and feel your pain!

I’ve only lost 1 Arena game to date but have 8-9 15 level players and 4-5 top tier players. The rest are just what we received and those I get through playing games or in Rookie Center.

It would be nice to show your currency totals when you need to level up too!

How do you get to Level 15?  I haven’t found any information on the Shards the players appear to be upgraded with.

  • @ok_gasman When you’re in the training player screen, tap Level Up. It will show you the ingredients required. Red Trophies can be found in Trade, Arena Rewards, Packs and so on. You can get to Level 10 with basically Training Points and Coins. The Red Trophies are required to go up to 15. The trade button has a bunch of sets to dump your silver cards into for rewards.

Don’t slide the training bar over for Level Up, just tap one at a time and if you have the ingredients it will have a red dot 🔴 on Level Up indicating you can progress him.

Thanks.  I hadn't been sliding the bar over, just tapping one at a time, but it wasn't working on my Level 10 guys earlier.  I appreciate your insight.

  • Just my impressions two weeks into MM22 but this game is fast becoming a charmless grind. H2H matchups where you are 200 OVR below are tough slogs and never mind playing a match where you’re outranked 350+ points— just say sayonara tournament ticket. Worse, the same balance issues seem to also apply to League tournament play. So forget about winning your league tournament if you haven’t spent the $$$ to be the Top OVR dog in your league. Sure, there don’t seem to be as many impossible upsets as there were in the previous edition of MM. But now it seems the odds of pulling an upset over a higher ranked team are just too low once you get a gap of 200 OVR to make it worth the bother.

Also, haven’t had as much in the way of lucky breaks when it comes to random cards or player draws. Building a team seems much more of a predictable linear grind (or spend) in MM22 with fewer lucky pulls, no lucky auction wins, and fewer opportunity events (so far).

And then there’s Seasons. Where you can literally waste time playing the fixed lineup of current NFL teams instead of your built up Ultimate Team or any sort of fantasy team. Whatever you do in Seasons doesn’t seem to make much of an impact either on any other part of the game, so what’s the point of Seasons?

I’m looking forward to gameplay improvements but as of this now the word that comes to mind is boring.
