Why does EA need my IP address
I do not have access to half of the game because I don't remember the password for my EA account. I cannot recover the email from Yahoo and even their help section says that there isn't anything I can do. All I want to do is delete that old account and merge my Origin account with my Gamertag. I have called in multiple times and spoken with the same representative multiple times. The first time he said I needed to contact Yahoo and recover my old email. Like I said earlier, that is not an option. I called back and spoke to the same guy again. This time he kept asking for my IP address. When I asked why he needed it, he stated "It's for security reasons." When I asked what the security issue was, he responded "It's needed to secure things, that's why it's called a security reason." When I asked for his name and employee number, along with the fact that I wanted to speak with his supervisor he said "This conversation is going in circles and I am going to need to hang up" then proceeded to hang up on me. At this point, I have paid $60 for a game that I only have access to half of. Is there anyone that can actually help me? Should I just start trying to get a refund?
Why does EA need my IP address?
Why does that guy keep hanging up on me?
Is my gamertag useless for playing online now that I don't have my EA account info?
