The issue with HDR has been fixed (at least for me). I can play full screen and exit without having a black screen. The issue of the mouse cursor appearing on screen (especially when pressing RT for Show Play Art) still exists however.

Actually as soon as I said that, i turned off the game and it made my TV have high contrast
  • It seems to have fixed the full screen issue for me but HDR now looks terrible. The colors are really faded and the contrast is low. Adjusting HDR settings on the TV and windows does not alleviate or remedy the issue. I have an LG OLED

So when I closed madden I ended up getting high contrast on the TV, I was able adjust this back to normal by toggling the HDR switch in Windows 10 under settings for display.  Seemed to bring the contrast back to normal...

I have a 55 inch TCL Roku 4k HDR TV and I'm having the same issues regarding color. It looks really dark and washed out. I wish they could just add a setting in game to turn hdr on and off. It really can't be that hard to do. At this point I don't even really care about hdr I just want to play the game on my TV.

    Edit: Autocorrect

As an LG TV owner the update has fixed the purple screen issue, but I also had the 'washed out' look during a game earlier. Everything was fine but the game suddenly switched to windowed mode. As I switched it back to full screen the brightness & contrast was affected, giving the washed out look described by others in this thread. It corrected itself after I switched from windowed to full screen modes a couple of times.

By fixing one issue the patch has created another!

    wow.... just.... wow.

hdr problem is "fixed" as it is now totally washed out in fullscreen instead of being all-crazy-colored and the controller-mouse and keyboard-issue is STILL exactly the same as before the update. im using a regular xbox 360 windows controller and it's NOT working at all.

I had the same issue as of all of you. I found the problem to be in the direct x 12 setting. switched to direct x 11 in madden settings and all was well except for leaving the game would make screen black and force me to power off my pc. origin and madden updated today and when starting up dolby vision  hdr was not working. so now I have a dimmed down colorless screen. but hey dx12 is working and my mouse pointer isn't green and purple.....yay..... (sarcasm) also I don't see a hdr setting in madden anymore.  wtf truly enjoy spending more time reading and talkin with customer support than actually playing the game I paid for.

I reinstalled and tried the game out with a similar result. The black screen/dolby vision logo problem no longer happens and the game correctly comes up using HDR and looks good, however when I exit the game, my desktop stays in HDR mode (even though HDR is not toggled within the display properties) and everything is in severely high contrast. Toggling the HDR switch on and then back off forces HDR to turn off and the desktop looks normal. Not ideal, but it does appear to be working to some extent. I do not have the same washed out look that others are experiencing following the update.
