If you are not using any numerics, it is possible your name is being flagged as profane (even if it was not in previous years), in which case you will need to choose another name.

Why should I use a different name when I have been using my full name for years now and my name is certainly not profane. The bug needs to be corrected is the solution not me changing my name. I paid good money for that game and I would expect that this bug can be fixed.

I paid good money for that game and I would expect that this bug can be fixed. I have attached screen shots for you to review and clearly my name contains no numbers nor is it profane. I have been at this for a month now and all I get is no resolution to my problem. As a paying customer this bug needs to be corrected as I will not be changing my name nor using another name. I expect a correction of this bug. 

I recently purchased Madden 21 and when I tried to create my avatar, it told me my last name, Beaver, was considered profanity.  How can someone's last name be considered profanity?  This isn't the first company to do something like this to me (Top Golf, Disney, etc.) but I have finally had enough.  I have always been able to use my last name for previous characters I have created in EA games but this will be the last EA game I buy until this is rectified.  

Please let me know if this issue is going to be corrected because it’s actually holding me back of actually playing Madden like this is an issue that was in there before or even when I purchased the game a few months ago after a bunch of updates and me wanting to do A new face of the franchise and a new franchise mode I started running into that type of issue what’s the point of enjoying the game if you can do those little parts in your created player or owner creation and the name that I’m using at all it’s not disrespectful to the game my name is legit my first name and my last name I will put some attachment and I have always use my full names on every other madden series I put three attachments of pictures step-by-step and right after I fill out my first name that’s the message that I received And it’s really annoying when you’re trying to actually enjoy the game and you cannot fully enjoy the game because of those little things should not be happening Thank you I hope this gets corrected soon is everything else I’m OK with the game but that is a big issue to me And I know when other Madden players redo their franchise or face of the franchise they will start complaining as well because that’s a really big part of the game being able to put your full real name onto your player Looking forward to EA fixing this Soon

I’m with you I have tried to contact them multiple times and let them know that that bug is affecting the gamers and it will start affecting other gamers if they’re forced to delete their franchise or face of the franchise they’re going to notice that they’re not able to anymore put their full name on to their player but I have tried to contact them about that and I have never contact a video company for anything but the situation is very annoying that’s the whole part of when you buy these games you wanna create your player as real as you possibly can and not able to put your full name and you get an error message saying that your name is Profanity it’s not right and then you try to show them the evidence that your name is not profanity and they don’t even reach out or try to fix the issue

I reinstalled madden again and I’m still receiving the error message and my name is not a profanity and here’s the proof to show it this is the error message that I’m receiving every time I try to complete my full name on to the game on my Created player I’ve been complaining about this for the past month and a half I thought by now Madden or EA would’ve been correcting that issue I have shown proof that my name is not a Profanity name Hopefully this error gets corrected and I’m allowed to proceed by putting my full name onto my created player or any creation that I create a Madden it’s affecting face of the franchise and as well franchise

Thanks for informing me that you’re passing this information on to the development team hopefully this issue gets corrected in the game soon It’s definitely Annoying to not be able to completely Create my face of the franchise player the correct way and as well and franchise not able to utilize my full name on my owner mode It really takes the fun out of playing Madden being able that you can use your real correct name so hopefully EA Development team or whoever’s in charge of correcting that issue that issue gets corrected Soon thanks for replying and letting me know and giving me an update
