I use the the ps4 version to play with my friends on the ps4, so I haven’t tried it on the ps5 version, but I have been told it wouldn’t let me play with my ps4 friends anyway.
Yeah I have the ps5 version and I tried playing my friends with ps5 and it crashes every time. It’s ridiculous how we pay so much for the system and games for it not to work properly.

Hey there, thanks for providing your PSN IDs.
I have a question for you, maybe this is related or maybe not. Can you both go to profile.ea.com and check to see if you have 2 PSN IDs like to your EA account? It will be under Connected Accounts.
If you do, removing one and then linking the removed one to a new EA account (simply sign into an EA game and it should prompt you with account creation) may fix this. Make sure you use a different email address when registering the new account.
We've seen players experience connectivity errors when there are multiple PSN or Xbox IDs on an EA account, there should only be 1 Xbox and 1 PSN ID for an EA account.
If the extra ID is removed but not assigned to a new EA account, the issue could still exist based off our findings.
Here is information on how to un-link gaming accounts: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/unlink-gaming-accounts-from-ea-account/
^^ Please read stipulations as progress from un-linked accounts will be erased ^^ Ok, I will try that the next chance I get.

That means you're logged into a second EA account and you're not logging in under your correct EA account that has your Gamertag linked to it. I found the problem but have no idea how to fix it and every time I try to get help it just loads for hours.

I finally got through and now I’m waiting for a call back. You are correct about the two EA accounts but I have no idea how my current account got linked to my old account because I created a new email and everything when making this account for the ps5.
So I just got off the phone with Mohd at EA and he fixed the account issue. That did not fix the play with friend game crashing issues at all. He said there was no way to fix that and he was sorry. How ridiculous is it that they have no way to fix this issue but have no issues taking everyone’s money for games that don’t work they way they should.

Can you confirm you're getting the error code CE-108255-1 which it crashes? I don’t ever see an error number. It just says sorry something went wrong and asks me to report it and attached the video every time. I’ve probably reported it and attached the same video about 30 times. It happens every single time I try to invite a friend to a game.
- @jsal09 I think you have to view the error details to see the code. I cannot play a friend online, play online franchise & cannot connect to the community file shares. I think I want my money back.
Ok, so I checked and ya, I have the op jman account, and an xx jman account linked to ea, both from playstation, plus an account from nintendo. That being said, the only account I can disconnect is the nintendo one. I saw the link you sent , but it still led me to the problem of not being able to unlink the extra playstation account.

^^ Please read stipulations as progress from un-linked accounts will be erased ^^This just worked for me, 100%. I got ea support, through an after hours chat box no less, to fix it. Glad to be playing friends in madden 22!! Thanks a ton!!
So I was told I have to go back and use my old sign in on the PlayStation to be able to play. I created a new account on the ps5 and support told me I would have to sign out and sign in to the old account anytime I want to play online with friends. That seems like a pain to keep doing that every time I want to play Madden. Is there anyway my account can be linked to my new account?

@jsal09
You shouldn't have to do that every time you want to play. Once you logged into an EA game with your PSN ID that you removed in order to create an account, that should complete the fix. But how do I sign out of the Madden and sign in with my old account? I don’t see anywhere to sign out.

Exit out of the game and log into your other PSN ID from the PlayStation menu. Then sign back into the game. Then I can sign back in to my new account?

Once you sign into the game with the PSN ID that was previously removed it should prompt you for account creation. Use a new/different email address to register the PSN ID to that EA account. Once completed, you can log out and then jump onto your main account.
