Mass Effect Andromeda (PC) Screen flashes black (blinking)

I tried to re-install the latest drives of nvidia and also i re-download the game.

Same results...

Specs:

i7 6700k

GTX 1070

16GB ram

Game and windows are on SSD.

I play on HDR TV (Samsung KS7000)

1080p Ultra settings HDR on

I had it also for a while.

Screen turns black but the game keeps running.

I was told that it was the graphcard that was reseting him self.

It only happends to my after i updated the driver.

GTX 980

but know its fine for some strange reason?

It started at one point and it stopped at one point??

I have this problem too. It happens primarily when I land on planets in the cutscene showing the Tempest docking and it happened especially during the cutscene before exiting the first vault on Eos.

Aside from flickering mine also swaps color filter during the flickering, so between the blacks the whole image also turns red, green and blue at random until the flickering stops.

My specs:

Model: Lenovo Y50-70

CPU: Intel Core I7 4720HQ 2.60Ghz (up to 3.80Ghz turbo)

Mem: 16GB DRAM SODIMM 1600Mhz

Ded. GFX: Nvidia Geforce GTX 960M 4GB

Alt GFX: Intel HD Graphics 4600 (unused afaik)

I play the game on custom settings with Resolution scaling at 80% with everything on high except Mesh, Terrain and fauna, Effects and post-processing on Ultra. HBAO is not full and I use FXAA rather than Temporal.

I have played with and without up-to-date NVIDIA drivers and it does not change it.

I have both the black flashes and the the colour change.

I was able to fix the colour change issue by turning of the Automatic detection for the HDR (high dynamic range)  to OFF

It was jumping between HDR and Normal I guess which was real annoying kept switching from Super Bright High contrast glorious look to washed out dull urgh colour. Once I turned it off that part was stable.

But I still get the black flashes during convos and at other locations. Really annoying as it sometimes happens in battles too. Mine does not flash, Mine goes completely blank for 3 of 4 secs then comes back. Game still playing while that happens. And it happens alot,

I have a GTX1080 and this problem does not happen on any of the other games I play. Tried changing drivers. No Diff.

Same problem , black screen flickering in certain areas only. Brand new EVGA 1080 , latest drivers , everything else ( over dozen games ) running smooth as butter with no issues on max settings. Its 100 % caused by the game , not hardware. Fix your * EA , really ! 

GTX980 ti here.

On mine the flashes were white and got more intense if I approached the outside landings.

I'm sure this is also related to some weird psychedelic color flashes I get in certain cut-scenes. eg: The final cut-scene at the end of the EOS vault and when landing the tempest at Voeld. 

My screen flickers blue instead of black, but I did find that leaving anti-aliasing on Temporal AA solved my issue. Let me know if that works for you. 

I can confirm that switching to Temporal AA will stop the flickering.

As a test environment I have used the "Outpost" hologram in the Nexus Cultural Center; simply standing in front of it and rotating the camera produces the flickering bug.

I have tested out all available settings; resolution, quality, VSync, etc etc etc. and none of them work. Only switching to Temporal AA will disable the flickering, turning it off does nothing (it might even make it worse).

This seriously needs to be looked into by the devs, it's extremely annoying and rips you right out of the game when it happens (usually in story cutscenes)...

I already had that on, so that was not the problem for me however, I can report I now have not had the problem for two nights of game play. Very happy.

I am not sure what fixed it, but I have the Nvidia Gforce Experience application and yesterday it had optimal settings for Mass Effect Andromeda. I Applied those settings. Looks like whatever it did .. fixed it.  Just prior to that I also went into my nvidia 3d settings and reset everything to default. One of those two things fixed it.

I am a happy chappie now

I've had both the colour flickering and black flickering, I haven't experienced the colour flickering since the first Vault, but I also turned off the HDR Autodetect after that first experience and switched the Frame Buffer to Compressed, rather than Half16 (which is apparently a mode almost exclusively used by HDR rendering).

I'll try switching from FXAA to Temporal AA and see if that helps.
Switching AA off entirely makes the game look far worse, it seems that Frostbyte doesn't like running with no AA at all.

Frame-rate is good with basically everything turned up as far as it goes. Sitting around 70 FPS at 1440p with my GTX 1080.

Thankfully I haven't experienced the flickering in combat, it's almost entirely limited to "in-engine" cutscenes and conversations, but it is distracting.
