Mass Effect: LE refuses to install
Hi there! So, here's the story! A while ago, I felt like playing Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which I had on Steam. So I installed it, tried to load it, which brought up the EA app obviously and... nothing. The game constantly refused to launch!! After trying a bunch of tricks I found online which didn't work, I just gave up. Until, that is, the game turned out to be on sale. At this point, I made the choice to completely remove the game from my Steam library and re-buy it on the EA app. Unfortunately, even that doesn't work: Now, every time I try to just install the game, well, what happens is it stays in "preparing" mode for a couple of minutes, then I get an error message... Again, I tried a few stuff I found online; clearing cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app... it changes nothing. Also, it's the only game that has that problem: If, for example, I try to install Mass Effect Andromeda, it goes straight to it, no issue! I guess, if that helps: When I do try to install the game, it does create a "Mass Effect Legendary Edition" folder in my Program Files. The folder is empty, but it exists. So, yeah, that's my problem, and it's annoying. Sorry for the long text but I wanted to give as much details as I could. This has been an issue i have been facing since EA app replaced the origin app. I have checked every EA Forums, Steam Forums and Reddit and tried every solution I could find. I have mass effect legendary edition on Steam, whenever I try to launch it from steam or the EA App, I get a generic error: "Failed to launch game" "An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later" I looked through the EA Desktop logs in AppData, and went through every error, but nothing in the logs pointed to what the error on your end is. I have tried the following suggested solutions: Clean boot Uninstalling and reinstalling everything (all recommended installation orders) Disabling the key from steam Moving the game folder I made sure the EA app files, Steam files and MELE files are on the same drive (D in my case) I checked the registry entries and confirmed that they match the expected Keys and values I formatted my PC and clean installed everything Using the ME MOD manager as a launcher I might have missed other solutions I have tried because there were so many I used to play the game on the exact same PC as before, the only difference is the change from origin to EA App. So I followed some guides to install origin and bypass the requirement to launch through the EA App, but that didn't help either (why did I do this? because the posts I have seen go back 5 years and I still see posts as of a week ago with this issue that has yet to be resolved by EA, so if EA doesn't care about its EA App game launcher, I wont either) I am extremely disappointed by the lengths that I need to go to in order to play a game that I already used to play, I have almost a 100 hours in the game and I cannot play it again because it refuses to launch. I have attached the DxDiag file preemptively since that is the one constant across all these discussions. I want a permanent solution for this. I want EA to have proper customer service and actually resolve this 5 year long issue that many players are facing. If you force something on people, at least make sure it works, or allow users to roll back to a software that used to work. Excuse the frustration above, but im in no mood to filter myself when ive seen so many posts on so many forums about the same issue that seems to have not been addressed in any way and constantly requires additional efforts from your customers. well bioware's customers, now unfortunately, yours. I am at my wits end and im honestly so upset rn. I am a HUGE mass effect fan i bought a brand new laptop so i could play the legendary edition i bought through steam. I have tried EVERYTHING to be able to play it. I even tried downlaoding alternative routes to launch the game. the rest of my steam games work just fine except for my EA games that are forced to run through the app. PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME. I even tried to support an error report and the error report got an error. My friend had to make one for me. I dont understand why i cant play my games and its really upsetting to me. please please help me. Hello! I have a problem with the language change on ME1 LE, the game launches in English. I've tried to change the language with ME1/BioGame/Config/BIOEngine.ini, but when I set language=FR (or even FRA) and save, the game still launches in English, and the document automatically resets to the default INT. Hello, I'm reaching out for help regarding access to the online services of Mass Effect: Andromeda. I used to play the game through the EA Play subscription, which has since expired. Some time ago, I purchased the game on Steam instead, and my Steam account is correctly linked to my EA account (confirmed in my EA settings). Instead of receiving an error code, I simply get the following message in-game: "You are not authorized to access the online features of this title." As you can see (in French) in the attached screenshots. I am then redirected to a general troubleshooting page, which doesn't apply to me because: - I'm not using a proxy or VPN. - My game is fully updated. - There are no error codes (such as 5800 or 10044). - And my network connection is stable. However, I still don't have access to the online features (such as multiplayer). From what I’ve read, it seems that in some cases, a manual intervention from EA support may be required to restore online access when transitioning from EA Play to a full purchase on Steam. Could someone please assist me with this issue? Mass Effect 3 cloud save appears to be corrupted , and the game crashes on launch. This happened to me years ago before the EA app replaced Origin. Then, I simply disabled cloud saves and that fixed the problem. The EA app doesn't allow that. Is there any workaround to this? I'm reporting certain bugs on Mass effect: Legendary edition. 1º On Mass effect 1 from the version of Mass effect: Legendary edition, when playing on pc with keyboard and mouse, when using the tactics HUD (the command to pause the game, see the enemies and choose the commands to squadmates do) we can't give them (the squadmates) certain commands, such as moving to a certain position, attack a certain target, rally, however the command to use their powers works normaly. 2º On Mass effect 1 from the version of Mass effect: Legendary edition, when playing on pc with keyboard and mouse, toggling the characters helmet only works for shepard, but not for squadmates. 3º On Mass effect 1 from the version of Mass effect: Legendary edition, sometimes one of the squadmates ignores the commands and keep following Shepard (even when not using the tactics HUD). 4º On Mass effect 3 from the version of Mass effect: Legendary edition, when we are going to iniciate a new game of a character there is not imported from Mass effect 3, for example one imported from Mass effect 2 or one not imported from anything, no matter what are the standarth difficult in options, the game always start with the difficult called "casual". I'm an huge fan of the Mass effect Franquise and of Bioware as a whole, i only wish succes for this company, when reporting this bugs, my only intention is to help, the bug of giving commands to squadmates with the tactics HUD and the bug of sometimes one of the squadtmates ignoring commands (even when not using the tactics HUD) in Mass effect 1 of Legendary edition are very significative and is making the game difficult to be played as intended, with respect, i humbly ask you guys to fix this bugs please.30Views0likes1Comment[Read First!] How to seek help and get a quick solution.

(Please note that account issues can often only be resolved by official EA support). A lot of common errors with the game are already mentioned, and in this case, there is a good chance that the “Accepted solution” will help you too. Meaning? Please use the search function before you post. 😉 If you found the problem you are having as well, but the “Accepted solution” does not help, or if you can’t find something that equals the error you see, please "Start a Discussion” for your problem. First step, the title. This line should be as informative as possible! (For example: [PC] – Mass Effect 1 crashes with a "general protection fault" message.) Always include the system you play on in the title and add the Tag of your system ([PC], [PS3] [Xbox] and so forth.) Second step, the problem description. Step 4: hit continue on death screen Step 5: mission updates but cant interact, any subsequent loads fail. What is the AMD or Nvidia Model Number of your graphics card? Nvidia Titan X (pascal) Please enter memory size in GB. 64GB During Mission Brought to Light if you arrive fight kett off then fall to the incoming wave (hard difficulty i had it on idk if this affects the occurrence), when you respawn , you are told to speak to astra... but he has no dialog button and will not interact nor will any such dialog highlight occur in both controller and mouse/keyboard modes, its seems stuck in the autosave, reloading the auto save doest help leaving area and reloading doesnt seem to help not sure if leaving planet will have an effect but doesnt seem to likely. Please fix my last manual save was some time before so no way to go back without wiping hours work, be nice if you had auto-advanced stage console command or even a reset stage for missions so folks could hot-fix such issues ourselves, fix urgently I dont want to have to go back in 6 months time to complete a quest I should have got in 1st place, indeed I wont, I play through once so fix it so it doesnt suck due to lousy bugs, and no you gotto start game from scratch to get fix either, fix all existing, and frankly do within 24 hours be nice or at least provide hot fix.15KViews12likes33Comments
