[PC] Mass Effect Online Access Error in Multiplayer Mode
Commander, you’ve received a new message at your private terminal! When downloading Mass Effect 3 or Mass Effect Andromeda, players may run into one of the following errors: Mass Effect 3 - "An online pass is required to access the online features of the game." Mass Effect Andromeda - "Missing Online Access" Changes to the EA account cause these specific errors. These can include but are not limited to the following: EA Play subscription expired Account Mergers A separate account downloaded the DLC If you encounter this error when launching the game, first try the following steps to see if this resolves the error(s). Delete EA License Files: Make sure the EA app is closed. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time. Type or copy and paste "ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER Delete all files within this folder. Clear Windows temp files: Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time Into the new window, type or copy & paste: "%temp%" (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER" Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it. (If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.) If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you will need to contact our Support Team who will review your EA account and make any necessary changes with you. Chose the following options Create a new case Mass Effect PC Manage my account Can’t log in In the Subject line Mass Effect Online Access Error Please describe your issue - Short, sweet, and to the point! For Example, "I downloaded Mass Effect 3 or Mass Effect Andromeda, and when I logged into multiplayer, I was met with an error that said I was missing the "Online Access." This is preventing me from connecting to multiplayer mode." At this point, you can send an email or scroll under Other Support Options and connect with a Chat Advisor. Thanks!
Mass Effect Andromeda "You are not allowed access to online features"
Yes, another one of these. After spending many hours over multiple days discussing this issue with both EA and Steam support I was finally told to just report my issue here. In short, you have probably heard this one before. When I boot up Mass Effect Andromeda it greets me with the error message "You are not allowed to access the online features of this game". After following the steps outlined in this ( [PC] Mass Effect Online Access Error in Multiplayer Mode | EA Forums - 9200656 ) forum post to no avail I contacted the EA support for the first time. Over the course of a few hours with multiple support agents attempting to help the end result was, that their internal system does not recognize me owning the game in the first place. They instructed me to reach out to Steam support since I had bought the game through them and ask for "the specifics of the purchase" (The automatic translation making it quite difficult to actually follow what exactly they were trying to tell me by the way). So I did just that, with the Steam Support getting back to me after two days stating that on their end all is fine, I own the game and it is registered in their system. Great, back to EA support I was sent. I explained my issue for what felt like the 100th time and eventually the support agent figured out that yes, indeed, their system does not recognize any ownership on my account of a product key regarding Mass Effect Andromeda. After telling me that they would help me if they could, they said they would report it to their internal team and sent me here to report my issue once more, hence this post. Hello, a couple days ago I reinstalling Mass Effect Andromeda on my steam account MisterDiego310, to play it again. Since then each time I try to get in the Online Features are disabled with the message: Missing Online Access. I can't Import or Export my character personalization nor can I access the Multiplayer side, and it is very frustrating because 2 years ago I bought and played the game normally, but now this issue is making me reconsider buying EA games if they are going to have this kind of online problems. I followed the troubleshooting guide on the EA Support page, but none of them have worked. I deleted and reinstalled the game, logged off and on and even uninstalled the EA App to check if those things could fix it up but nothing... I also reported and sent a Support description of my problem, I don't know if they attend those things, but I would like to know if there is something else I can do to.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition - GeForce NOW
So, for some time now both the EA and Steam versions of the Legendary Edition have been available to play on GeForce NOW, which is awesome! Is there any chance someone on the EA/Bioware team could check the box and have the Epic Game Store version also opted on to be played on GeForce NOW? It would be an awesome addition if possible!Steam/steam deck game won't launch
Started yesterday and I'm guessing some sort of update happened in the background or server connectivity to EA's launcher. I've done just about everything I can do on the steam/steam deck side and I can only guess it's an EA thing. I've rebooted a gazillion times; verified all proton files, game files, tried all different proton versions and nothing has worked. (I haven't tried uninstalling/reinstalling for fear of losing my progress since this relies on EA cloud sync) I get no error messages, game attempts to launch and just dumps be back to desktop (in desktop mode) or the main game page in game mode. Anyone else experience this, or have some more helpful tips/tricks I can try?
Mass Effect 2 import does not work again
Note: this is the original Mass Effect 2, not the Legendary Edition version. So I move the Char file, into all the possible places to ensure that the game can see it. Yet, every time I go into the game, it still says it cannot see it and therefore I cannot import it. Bioware really needs to have a simple description on how to do this manually, instead of having to jump through a ton of hoops just to import a save.
[PC] - Graphics Settings Not Saving After Game Restart
I have been having an issue with Mass Effect Legendary Edition on PC, where the graphics settings do not save after the game restarts. Every time I launch the game, it launches on Monitor 3 (my main monitor), in fullscreen mode, with a 1080p resolution (see first screenshot). I have to manually change the settings each time to be Monitor 1 and Borderless Window mode (resolution automatically updates to 4K when switching to that monitor). No matter what I do, every time I close the game and relaunch it later, the settings revert back to Monitor 3 and Fullscreen. I contacted support, and they could not provide a solution to me. Instead, they asked me to report the issue here. ----- Another note is that they recommended trying a solution found here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Mass-Effect-Legendary-Edition/Resetting-settings/m-p/10574027 However, I do not have the file path provided (<drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME2\BioGame) The closest equivalent that I'm able to find is: C:\Program Files\EA Games\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME2\BioGame But in that folder, there is no "Config" folder, so that solution is invalid.
How to set xbox controller in ME3 to run
Hi everyone, I bought Mass Effect Legendary Edition a couple of days ago, and I'm currently playing ME3 (I already played 1 and 2 long time ago) I plugged my old xbox controller to my PC and it seems to be working properly. However, I didn't understand how to set it up for certain "moves" , for example, I don't how to set the button to make Shepard running. Could you please help figure it out? Thanks
Mass Effect Legendary Edition needs to come to the Switch 2
With Xbox going down in flames at the current moment, us as gamers really need a positive/win. I think it would be absolutely amazing if EA/Bioware would make the Mass Effect trilogy on the Nintendo Switch 2. I really hope someone over there reads this. With all the negativity going on currently please give us something to have faith in EA/Bioware, doing this game on the Switch 2 would show good faith. Who still plays? A couple of years ago I thought my days of killing Reapers and Cerberus were long behind me. But there is still a decent number of active players on PC.
