Skaters now skating backwards...

Question

So, something weird going on....I was playing a game, and now all of a sudden in both Hybrid and Skill set mode....my skaters are skating backwards. This is super frustrating, as now everything is the reverse of what it is supposed to be.

In addition, if I switch to the NHL 94 controls....it works fine, but can't stand playing that way.

I did go to controller settings and saw that for some reason auto-backskate was et to "on" but I did not change that. I turned it off, and it is still happening....how do I resolve?

I've had auto-backskate enabled on its own as well. Thankfully, it's extremely rare. However, it sounds like there's more going on. Are you saying you can push your stick to skate forward, but your players go backwards instead?

Yep, that is exactly what is happening.It will not do that if I go to the NHL 94 controls, but for everything else....it's backwards.

Do you have a different controller you can try? Also, what system are you playing on? If you haven't yet, close out NHL 23 and launch it again. It might also be good to hard restart your console.
