Annoying NHL 23 Glitch
I’ve been playing my brothers NHL 23 game for about 2 months now I believe. He’s had the game for about a year and a half. We’re not ones to upgrade to newer games with slightly better features so we’re stuck with NHL 23. In the Be A Pro gamemode, I was going into a game against San Jose. I scored nine goals but then with 3 mins left in the period, I simulated it out of instinct. The game froze and I couldn’t fix it. My only choice was to completely restart to game. I was so unbelievably angry, I almost broke the controller cause this has happened to me about 30 times now and it’s been more frequent lately. Hey EA sports, do you mind fixing this so that people who still play NHL 23 don’t have to be screwed over when they try and enjoy the game? Hello, NHL 23 Community. Welcome to the Technical Issues board! If you're experiencing a technical issue inside or outside of the game, the NHL Community and Forum Community Managers will do their best to get you back on the ice as quickly as possible. We have some guidelines below to help make sure you're both posting in the correct forum board and what information is useful when posting to make the troubleshooting process easier. First, we want to make sure you're posting in the right place. Examples of Technical Issues Connectivity (disconnections, lag, unable to access account) Account issues, change email/password/security question etc. Account action/banned Trouble installing the game Examples of Bug Reports Bug Reports relate to issues that are not resolvable by yourself or our advisors and will generally require us to replicate the issue in-house, develop a fix, validate the fix to ensure the issue is resolved and does not cause any secondary problems and then provide a game update. Here are some examples: Audio Problems Crash/Freezing while playing a certain game mode Exploit Gameplay Missing rewards Secondly, be as detailed as possible when submitting a post! Platform you play on Specific details on the issue you're experiencing (ex: challenge name, any errors received, where it's happening in game) How long it's been happening for What steps you've already tried to fix it Here are some steps we recommend taking first if you're experiencing any technical issues: Lag, Disconnections, Input Lag or Trouble Connecting to Servers? Here are some tips we recommend: Connection Troubleshooting Advanced Connection Troubleshooting Advanced PlayStation Troubleshooting Advanced Xbox Troubleshooting Power cycle your console via the steps below Check your TV if you have a "game mode" option. If that is NOT enabled, you WILL experience input lag Log into your router's settings and check if there is a firmware update Log into your router to see if uPnP is enabled If your router has an option to enable Quality of Service (QoS), make your consoles a priority for bandwidth. When you have other devices connecting to the network, your connection speed can be slowed down Re-sync your controllers to your console and check if they need to download firmware updates Consider upgrading your Ethernet cables to deliver faster speed. If you are using cables that are at least several years old, Cat6 cables are now available and are built for gaming for low cost Are you using older HDMI cables? Consider testing with high speed gaming recommended HDMI cables Xbox One You can restart, perform a full power cycle, or physically disconnect your Xbox console to reboot it completely and fix many common issues. This process does not erase any of your games or data. - Microsoft How to power cycle your Xbox console: Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely. Unplug the console’s power cable. Wait 10 seconds. Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply. Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One. PlayStation 4 & 5 How to power cycle your PlayStation console: Touch the power button on the front of the PS4/PS5 for at least 7 seconds (until the system beeps twice). Turn it back on after 5 minutes. Launch the game. Tip: If you are using an external hard drive for your console, whether it's for NHL 23, please check to ensure all post-installation updates are going to the same drive. Having files located on the internal and external drive could lead to potential performance issues or errors. If you are installing the game on an external hard drive and experience crashes or errors, try re-installing to the internal to see if results vary. For NHL 24 could you make it possible to import your own logos for Offline only modes to prevent wrongful use on Online modes. It would make the experience much more authentic when creating existing teams in your own NHL Game that are not featured in the base game. Also add a possibility to add sponsors to the custom teams jerseys. World of Chel- Custom club jerseys What happens when the bug occurs? We cannot use any Custom Team Branding Jerseys. It reverts back to generic Black NHL logo jerseys What do you expect to see? Our Custom Jerseys in World of Chel and EASHL games Was the issue in online or offline mode? Online Insert Game Mode or Feature here World of Chel EASHL What time did you see the bug? English In WoC, our club has done custom team branding and created our own jerseys and team colors. Yet as soon as we save and go back to the World of Chel menu it reverts right back to the generic black NHL jersey. When we get into EASHL games and try to switch jerseys, our customs appear very briefly and get switched right back to the generic ones. We have now switched to the Stock Team Branding for Bardown, just to have something different for now, but would really like to use the jerseys we took the time to make. It appears as though this was a problem last year that never got fixed but is happening to my club for the first time and it is really infuriating. As a Division 1 club that has been buying the game for 10+ years, it is embarrassing that this can't even get addressed when posted about and we have to go into every game looking like we just started our club. We spent the money to only get ignored when posting about it, yet other "bugs" that have fixes are quickly replied to. I’m currently out in a hotel in utah and i’m tryna complete the TOTY sets but when it comes to putting in the last 87 ovr into the set to get the full player it says error sending item to shop. The 87s im trying to send aren’t in my lineup or bnd. I’ve also restarted the app and the ps itself. Since we can play on the same team in Ultimate team how can we not play couch style co-op on franchise mode? So many of my buddies would play if we were able to do this on Madden and NCAA as well, you could have multiple players on each team in a league, whoever’s on could play whoever’s on. Or I could atleast be able to play with my buddies instead of constantly against them, build franchises with them. Maybe I’m stupid but I’ve been playing the career mode and now randomly I can’t “simulate” while my player isn’t on the ice. Hey all, I have encountered this error code when trying to play WOC or any online game on my PS5.. I also have an Xbox series X and have no issues with playing nhl online. just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue, had it happen two days ago randomly when I turned on nhl. thanks yall. i am apparently stuck on my final play in game for the remainder of NHL 23. My rivals menu says I have played 4 play in games. Including games I have now quit - trying to bypass the glitch so I can just move on to actual games, I have played at least 8. In my last 2 games I quit out trying to get past it, the game actually warned me that I was even close to relegation in a division if I kept losing. Only to bring me back to the rivals menu that shows me having only played 4 play in games. I waited longer than 72 hours for a reply from EA. 77 and a half hours, To be exact. The reply I got, redirected me to Xbox’s support page.. I mean what ? That, was what I waited 77 hours for ? A redirection to the Xbox help commonly asked questions page ? There could not be anything less “common” about this. I am here looking for answers because I am literally bewildered with the service I just received. And gives me 0 hope that this is something that can be fixed. I put hundreds of dollars and hours into this game each year. This needs to be fixed, addressed properly, and I should absolutely receive compensation for this inconvenience. I can’t get any rewards for playing games. No coins, no rivals progress, nothing. What is to be done about this EA ? Going to redirect me again to Xbox support ? Common issue ? I mean when I read that reply.. I haven’t been that angry in a little bit I’m going to be honest.
