You had to pre-order to get NHL 94 Rewind. Most likely, the code will be in the box when you get it from Amazon. It doesn't release until October 30th. Did they say when they can expect to ship it out?

    Thank you for the quick reply. They told me when I called that they can’t guarantee that we will receive the pre order code because they don’t have anymore stock from the pre order. I’d rather cancel that order and just go directly to the ps store. They also have no clue when they can ship it out. Very upsetting as my son is dying to play this game today.

    That's really unfortunate. I'm so sorry for all the trouble. If you cancel the pre-order, you won't have access to NHL 94 Rewind. I don't have any information on whether or not this game will be made available to those that didn't pre-order.

  • I have this same problem. I pre ordered it, oct 6 from amazon. I received it yesterday and no codes were in the box. Is there someone at  EA that i can contact. I just did an online chat and their suggestion was to contact amazon.

    We're unable to give out these codes. The only way to get assistance is to contact the retailer you purchased the game from.

  • I guess I got screwed over then, and can't get rewind. The only reason I bought the game. Lesson learned not to preorder from Amazon. I called them and they don't have them. They did give me a full refund and I can keep the game. So at least I didn't have to pay for it.

  • So you are saying that as a loyal EA customer that has bought the original games, I go back to 91 at least, and has been a customer ever since I can’t get the code because between Amazon and EA, two massive companies, you cannot mange a simple code distribution. I’m genuinely enraged and shocked you say EA cannot solve the issue. EA could easily solve the issues, but are choosing not to. I debated not getting this version as the enhancements have recently been marginal at best but getting 94 swung it. I may actually be done with EA. 

    I actually took part in the EA NHL launch one year in the UK, as EA sponsored my local team. I sat there explaining to game to some of your guests... the speech about promoting brand loyalty seems to have been long forgotten.

    Horrendous customer service by both companies as well as false advertising by EA. I’ve been going back and forth between the 2 of them and neither will do anything to resource issue. 

  • Just adding on another person that was screwed by Amazon. Response delayed because I was actually giving Amazon a chance to make it right (for the record, after asking me to prove that the preorder was a thing, said they hadn’t heard anything about it, and me proving all the articles and pictures from EA and Amazon website mentioning the preorder, they ghosted me), and a I don’t have during the work week to deal with stuff like this.

    EA’s rep gets tarnished by this as much, or even more than Amazon’s, as Amazon didn’t make the promise. EA said every preorder comes with Rewind. Nowhere did it said “every” order(but only if you buy electronically from the PS/XBox store), or any mention of “While Supplies Last”.  


    And I love the story that you “can’t” provide more codes.  You are the source of all the codes; you can generate more, log them into the PS/XBox environment and keep your customers happy. If the customer comes with a verified purchase, shouldn’t be too hard to give them a code, and ensure that code gets loaded onto a machine that verifies a full game install before allowing DL of Replay. Just absolute confirmation that EA doesn’t care about individual customer service.

    Totally agree with what the above poster said.  Both of these companies pointing fingers while the customer is caught in the middle is just weak.  EA could make this right for amazon customers who preordered.  They are choosing not to.   Just a bad look.

    Yeah, preordered from the 'Zon and got nothing. No body wants to take responsibility for an advertised perk for preordering the game. It's 'go talk to them' from both sides.
