Just adding on another person that was screwed by Amazon. Response delayed because I was actually giving Amazon a chance to make it right (for the record, after asking me to prove that the preorder was a thing, said they hadn’t heard anything about it, and me proving all the articles and pictures from EA and Amazon website mentioning the preorder, they ghosted me), and a I don’t have during the work week to deal with stuff like this.
EA’s rep gets tarnished by this as much, or even more than Amazon’s, as Amazon didn’t make the promise. EA said every preorder comes with Rewind. Nowhere did it said “every” order(but only if you buy electronically from the PS/XBox store), or any mention of “While Supplies Last”.
And I love the story that you “can’t” provide more codes. You are the source of all the codes; you can generate more, log them into the PS/XBox environment and keep your customers happy. If the customer comes with a verified purchase, shouldn’t be too hard to give them a code, and ensure that code gets loaded onto a machine that verifies a full game install before allowing DL of Replay. Just absolute confirmation that EA doesn’t care about individual customer service.
