I don't quite understand how that makes sense, especially since Ottawa's updated look was just added before they used it on the ice. I guess it is what it is no big deal.
With the license renewal with the NHL/NHLPA just announced I hope EA is able to better access certain things.
Either way, thanks @EA_Aljo for the response. Much appreciated.

Ottawa is already in the game. Seattle doesn't join the NHL until next year so it doesn't make sense to add them to the game now.

@EA_Aljo I get what you are saying, I strongly disagree though. It would have made complete sense to put them in the game this year considering they have already unveiled their jerseys.
1. I'm sure a lot of people would love to use the logos for create a team as I've seen numerous posts about it.
2. When they are added to the game next year, they will already have their roster assembled in real life. It would have been nice to let us be able to use this year for assembling our own version of the team before they do. (yes I know we will be able to assemble the team how we want next year, its just not the same when the team is already picked)

The game represents the NHL 20-21 season. Which Seattle is not a part of. That's why it doesn't make sense and also why we can't have them in the game.

@EA_Aljo that logic doesn't really make sense. Legends/alumni are not part of the 2020-21 season, but are included in the game.
I understand if it was a licensing issue, that's why I commented on the new license agreement as what you have now seems extremely restricted.
If it wasn't a priority to get in the game, that is also somewhat understandable given working from home. It just would have been a nice addition to expansion mode and create a team.

Those players are part of the alumni. Their teams are part of the history of the NHL. We can't have a new team in the game that hasn't even played their first season.

@EA_Aljo thanks for the responses. However, you haven't really actually answered the question. I have given reasons why it would make sense to have included them this year as well as reasons why they may not have been. Since the teams branding is licensed by the NHL saying "you can't" is very vague, especially if it was simply adding the play by play name Kraken to create a team. I understand you can only say what you can say so I will leave it at that. Thanks again!!

As previously stated, we can't add anything Kraken related until they are actually in the game during their first season. I understand you feel this doesn't make sense, but that's how it is. I don't have any other details whatsoever on this. I'm very sorry. I know this is important to you, but anything Kraken related will have to wait. As far as other logs go, we're always trying to get as many as we can in the game.
- gravy777775 years agoNew Traveler@EA_Aljo What about adding all of the logos from the other leagues into the creative suite? Why hasn't that been done? The create a team suite is so stale. If the material is already in the game could the EA team make it available? If not....why?

I'm really sorry, but I don't have those details. If anything changes with logos, we'll make an announcement.
