Community ManagerHi, everyone. We're continuing to look into the lack of vibration on controllers. If there are any other workarounds, I'll post an update here. Otherwise, we'll need to wait and see what happens after the investigation completes.
I checked some solution for this and it worked.
I turned my PS4 off, I pluged my controller to the PS4 with USB cable, then I turned it on by PS button and then I ran the NHL. Next, I made sure the vibrations in Accessability > Controller Accessability (Main Menu) are ON and then I saved the Gameplay Preset by giving it a name. Then I made sure (in More > Settings > Controller Settings) the vibrations are ON. And finally, I went to Play Now and ran a game against CPU to check if this works. IT IS! You can unplug the USB cable.
I would say I can enjoy the game with vibrations again (Versus and EASHL mode), but they are noticeably weak. Three times weaker than in NHL 21. My controller barely vibrates when I hit an opponent.
I hope it's helpful for everyone. And I hope the EA team will fix the vibrations soon and will make them stronger like they were in previous NHL games, because they are really weak.

don't use vibration or any sort, cause its drains batteries faster, go out and buy batteries chargers for controllers for PS5 and xbox series x.
How can you declare this issue solved?? Still no vibration. Clearly there was minimal testing done by EA if any..
PLEASE UPDATE THE COMMUNITY if you are still working on a PERMANENT SOLUTION or have you considered this issue solved? Because it is not.
The game is honestly un playable until you guys resolve this. For a $100 game that’s just unacceptable.

The only thing that comes to my mind is unsaved preset. Are you sure you use the saved preset? Or maybe you didn't save it. If not, go to Settings Accessibility, set vibration to ON, press R3, name it, save it.
Make sure the vibration is ON in Setting Accessibility (main menu, tab FOR YOU), in Settings > Controller Settings (main menu, tab MORE) and then also in WOC/HUT Settings > Controller Settings.
From the day I set it up (now it's 7th or 8th day I guess), it works for me all the time. For my friends too.
PS5 playing PS4 version. Vibration in 1 of 5 games…
XBox Series X
Elite series 2 works only when manually:
1) Start game
2) During this time disconnect gamepad from system and after connect back
3) Choose firs one red or second blue...
4) Done...all works as needed
Need patch!
Yesterday after November SX system & Elite Series 2 update....vibration totally is gone on NHL22!
As usual many ghost controllers when starting game
And no manual as I write before
EA....please FIX this for me and us 🙂
Back to NHL 21 for now
I haven’t been playing for over a month because of this bug and I have tried just about everything that I know to do I have series 2 controllers and I’ve tried multiple controllers, I tried turning off my Xbox and turning it back on, I tried restarting my Xbox, I tried plugging in my controller, I checked to see if my controller needed an update, and nothing has worked I’ve been playing NHL for years ever since NHL 12 and I haven’t had an issue like this one time and with all of the other bugs that the game has this is one of the worst NHL games by far 22 has been an absolute joke of a game with how many issues and bugs that it’s had and I really like the game otherwise but there are some pretty big bugs and I know that it takes time to fix these issues and I want is for them to be fixed in a timely manner and that’s not a month plus hopefully this will get fixed sometime soon I love play NHL and this bug has completely ruined my experience playing

Add me to the list of upset EA customers. I truly enjoyed the NHL series since 95 but I gave up on EA Sports before the XBox One came out. I decided to give them a chance with the new XBox Series X/S and they continue disappoint. I walked away from EA before and I will do it again.

I skipped EA Battlefield V and BF 2042. I also started buying the EA NHL game on 60% sale in December the last 3 years. Before I always bought it the first day, but its always 2 steps forward and 3 steps back. Some improvements and some new bugs, like this vibration issue.
I have the same problem, but in nhl 23, how is this kind of thing acceptable from such a game. By the way, I loaded nhl 22 back just to see and it work all fine on this one. That is so dumb from ea to be honest.
