  • I appreciate the response. However my account can't be verified as it was created around 2008 on Gmail and I cant recover it so the advisor I spoke to cant recover the ea account despite the fact I've given them all the info they asked and also they have my xbox gamer tag. Why I can't delete an unusable account that is registered to MY xbox live account and make another ea account and connect that one is beyond me. So now I can't ever play another ea game online on my xbox profile unless I create another profile. I've had my profile since 2008 and put a lot of time and effort into it. Asking someone to disregard that just to play your product is disgraceful. As a community manager I'm sure you're aware of the flack EA gets for being a bad company and this is the another notch to add the EAs belt. In summary, I cant play another EA game online on my xbox profile. Tell me how that is even remotely fair.

I have this exact same problem. It is easier for me to get into my safety deposit box than it is to have EA sports unlink an account from my PSN. There is no way to access purchase dates from 10 years ago. There needs to be a solution. No one is trying to steal gamer tags that hard.

I got this issue resolved. The email associated with my ea account was an old one from 2008 and not the  one I'm am currently using. The process was long and tedious to get all the relevant info I needed to recover it (haven't used it for 10+ years) but I spoke with an incredibly helpful advisor yesterday and she helped me recover it and im back up and running now.

@theterrafusion any helpful hints on how you got the info? Mostly they want my purchase dates of games, but I typically buy disks so very difficult for me to figure out how to verify EA purchases? Plus my playstation transaction history just says "purchases" and you have to click on each individual one to see what it was for.

My situation was that ibwqa under the impression that the email I use for everything was the email connected to my ea account, so when I signed into star wars battlefront 2 after nearly a year and got the reset my password message, I couldn't understand why resetting it wouldn't work. It was by sheer luck I was able to remember what email address it was that I started my ea account and registered that to my xbox but I couldn't recover it from Google account recovery because I didn't remember the security questions as it was from 2008. Well you need to be at home when you make the call to ea so they can get your ip address, in terms of the disk versions of games I'm not sure because I had anthem and mirrors Edge 2 as my last 2 ea buys, all the rest are disk. Maybe an advisor could give you more information on that?
