@TTVMrSaveeee I don't think that you can use spaces in your username. 

@Lucid75 What kind of error message do you get to see? It could be a case where that username is already in use by someone else.

I'll mention it here as well, when you get to see this error message it could mean that the username is already in use by another player. You can try to use a different variation of the username to see if that works 🙂

I also have this problem, I tried to change my id to "shirodesu" but It says this is prohibit. I changed i and o to 1 and 0 but it also didnt work

In that case both usernames could already be in use and that's why you cannot use it.

The only suggestion that I have is to try using another username that hasn't been used yet. 

What are the odds we could get a list of all prohibited words so we can all avoid this issue in the future?

I don't think that would be possible @BuyShib. 

This whole system is just silly. My name was Nostrildumbass, and I changed it temporarily recently for a different humorous name. Now it tells me that Nostrildumbass contains a prohibited word/character (this coming from a publisher whose in game dialogue literally says "*, I'm getting my * pushed in" and "* in the dirt"), but it accepts AmNostrildumbass. I don't see any other players with my name and that probably wouldn't be possible with how short a time I switched off that name. Is there some kind of time period where unused aliases get deleted from the database to be usable again?

I'm trying to change my name to allow our squad tags WTF within the game

At first I thought it may have been an issue with the Tags itself being "WTF" because i what it means in real life, but our clan name is "Weapons Task Force" and we have been using these tag in all online games forever - going back as far as Black Hawk Down.

I have managed to change my name to BI5HYxxWTF but all my clan mates have the WTF at the front of their name which looks a lot better.

What I'm trying to change it too is WTFxxBI5HY but I keep getting an error  (ID contains a prohibited work or character)

The username (WTFxxBI5HY) is NOT already in use because if it was you get a Error message of  - ID has already been registered

I don't understand why I'm not able to change the name to WTFxxBI5HY - all I want to do is rearrange what I currently have to match my other clan members.

If it was prohibiting the WTF then I shouldn't be able to have it in my name at all, and all my clan mates wouldn't be able to have it at the front if their names now.

Anyone able to assist????

Hey @WTFxxMR_BISHY if a username is not accepted then you will need to choose another one.

The best thing to do is to try a variation on the name.

So why isn't it allowing me to change my name to WTFxxBI5HY  ?????

Like I said before, it can't be because of the WTF part in the name because about 7 other guys who I play Battlefield regularly with have changed their name to have the WTFxx in the front.

Is this what they call "A Battlefield thing"? broken again? I would like to have someone from EA / DICE who knows what is actually happening with their game try and answer me.

This should be an easy fix - It just doesn't make sense - I'm just getting soooooo frustrated with this whole thing.- I'm not about to change my game name when I've been using it for years.  

Hey @WTFxxMR_BISHY there is nothing that we can do in relation to this, if a username is not accepted then you will need to choose a different one.

I'd recommend using one of the alternate usernames you listed above.

Hello, I’ve been using a username on this account for so many years with no issues, recently I decided to check another username and once I changed it I wasn’t be able to use my older one even though I waited for more than 5 days! I can proof that the username was usable by me!

Its so strange to see something like this. 

Sorry to say @SkyHwk but if you change the username and then want to go back to the old one but it is not available then there is nothing that we can do to change this.

It does not matter if you previously had it, we cannot give you a username that our system will not.
