Framerate cap not 300 as patch note says, actually locked to 144 again.

Same here, tried everything and nothing fixes it.

This issue does not occur during the intro video.  In fact, there is no cap during the intro, as it is over 500fps as I see it on the Origin counter (Origin in-game).  However, once the 3D engine takes over, it appears the frame counter is oscillating between what the intended framerate cap of 300 allows on my system (my in-game performance before patch was consistently approx. 185-215 fps) and the pre-patch default rate of 144 fps.  From what I can gather, every few frames or so it appears to reset the refresh to 144 and then it begins to approach regular performance until the next reset occurs, leaving an average of 150-170fps in the counter but restricting gameplay to approximately 144 at rest.  I do not know if this is reflected in the gameplay although it doesn't feel above 144 based on a minute or so of testing.

Two main factors i can think of to check.

1. Do not use any other fps counter other that origin as they tend to cap at 144.

2. Disable v-sync settings in the Nvidia control panel in the 3D settings section for individual programs.

If it still caps on 144 try this in the command arguments: +fps_max unlimited

Command lines ain't working. This patch broke the game in a level personally i can't believe it.
Mouse stutters like hell too, can't aim properly and when opening doors game freezes for 0.5sec and resumes.

? I did i just dont know what V-sync settings OP has tried specifically or what arguments used.

I can only go by the information given to me and check to approach all angles that OP may have missed.

You could try disable fullscreen optimisations it usually fixes mouse stutter.

Navigate to your game files and locate the r5apex.exe

then right click and open properties then click the compatability tab

tick the disable fullscreen optimisations and apply.

run the game to test.

^which btw this has its own bug that setting a fps_max of higher than 144 such as 240 will still operate as if you you put in fps_max 144. fps_max 0 works as expected by not capping framerate.

I'm bumping this specifically for this section I quoted. Currently the game treats all fps_max values 144 or greater AND now 0 as "144". The patch notes suggest fps_max 300 should work but doesn't.

Oh and 1 last tid bit from a reddit post I made.

for anyone wondering about "+fps_max Unlimited" in the launch options that returns the same result as above. Technically speaking the "Unlimited" part actually results in an error and defaults to fps_max 0.

Seems very little testing was actually done with fps_max 300 or any value greater than 144.

Already had that option enabled since the game came out to minimize crashes, issue comes from the game itself. Like i said, didn't change any video settings at all. Hardware & Drivers are the same as a week ago. Probably there's some Engine bug because of that "FPS Cap up to 300" they mentioned on patch notes causing micro-stutters and mice stop responding because of it.
