Game crash when changing audio setting (PC)

Product: Apex Legends
Platform:PC

AMD or Nvidia Model Number AMD Ryzen 5 5600H with Radeon Graphics 3.30 GHz

What is your gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name? CEDR2370

Are you using any software with an overlay? No
Which Legend were you playing (if applicable)?
Which Legends were your squad mates using (if applicable)?
Where did the issue occur? In the lobby (waiting area before the match)
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. It happen anywhere at any time. In game or in the lobby.
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. When I change my sound setting (plug/unplug headphones or adjust spatial sound) the game crash/close.
Did your squad mates also experience the issue? No
How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? 0
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 01.11.2022 16:15 EST
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
How severe is your issue? Major impacts to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? The game crash or close. Whatever it is, it happen instantly.
What should be happening instead? Nothing, the game should just stay open.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Get in game and change your sound setting (plug/unplug headphones or adjust spatial sound). The game will then crash/close.

Hi I'm on PC. When I change my sound setting (plug/unplug headphones or adjust spatial sound) the game crash/close.

No error code when this happen.

 

Specs: Omen 15 AMD Ryzen 5 5600H 3.30 GHz, 16gb, RTX 3060.

 

Plz help, Apex sometime change my spatial sound setting so I have no choice if I want good audio.

    @cedr2370 

    Make sure your audio drivers are up to date.

    In Origin, right click the game and then Repair.

    EA app: click Manage and then Repair.

    @Ramboyeah Hey, this is known and being worked on. In the meantime, please make any audio hardware changes before you boot up Apex.
  • @EA_David the problem is that it is not about hardware change. What I have to to do while in Apex is to go to Windows Sound settings and then choose my output device and then turn off and on the Audio Enhancements. If I do that before I boot up Apex it is not aplied to Apex.
