Payment Failure Got Me Banned From Apex :l

What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Logging into the game

Just as the title says I got banned on Sunday a few hours after I purchased $5 in apex coins from the new EA store in order to get the spooky pathfinder skin, I found out yesterday when I tried to log into the game, I didn't got a reason as to why I got banned or an email about the reason or the ban itself. They just said, hey, your account has been disabled and we have permanently blocked you from accessing this product :D

I had to search the reason of the ban on my own and turns out the payment failed, EA literally banned me because I tried to give them money using their new store, the charge appears on my bank account as a pending transaction.

I appealed after I got banned but before I found out it was due to the payment failing and turns out I can't add the information into my case/ticket since EA scuffed that up or something, every time I click resume case it takes me back into the status of my account 

My card works perfectly fine in every website, has never given me issues before and I have the money to pay for the coins so instead of sending me a new payment confirmation, an email so I can get in touch with EA customer support or something reasonable, they decided to ban me, yay EA :l

  • @rngdanny Quick update, I was unbanned about a week after this post.

    The TOS team kept rejecting my appeals so I appealed over and over and over until I was unbanned, the TOS team didn't really sent me any email about the ban, being unbanned or anything related to the ban, instead they sent me an email saying:

    "Hello,

    We saw some unusual activity on your EA Account.

    To keep your EA Account safe, we have reset your password."

    After I received the email I paid for the coins using steam and basically waited thinking that I was going to be banned like they banned me a few hours after the first ban overturn.

    I wasn't banned again and while I paid another $10 through steam to get this season battle pass, I'm still mad with TOS team and EA, I was banned, unbanned and then banned again just for giving trying to use their store and when I was finally unbanned again they didn't even mentioned the issue...

    I love apex but I hate EA so I guess I'm just in a weird toxic relationship with the game and even if it the whole ban situation was backhanded and unfair I'm just glad I was unbanned ¯\_(•-•)_/¯

  • Hello, I made this post under the bug section so I'll create a new one on the general discussions.

    Before someone says it, yes, I have appealed 5 times with the TOS Staff and I'm still banned, its been over a week and I just want to put some light on the issue 

    Basically, I got banned from Apex Legends after trying to purchase $15 (two transactions, $10 and $5) in coins for the spooky Pathfinder skin on the new EA store. I found out I was banned the day after the transaction without any explanation or email from EA. It turned out my payments failed and instead of reaching out in an amicably way, EA decided to ban me...

    I appealed the ban on october 8th and got unbanned on october 9th, then a few hours later I got banned again, I was at work and didn't even had a chance to get home, this time I got an email saying that my account was going to be "permanently close your account with immediate effect". My card works fine elsewhere, so I was dumbfounded. Despite multiple appeals, I’m still banned due to this payment issue.

    Each appeal has been rejected and I haven’t had any communication with EA’s TOS staff, they haven't replied, interacted, asked or inquiry in any way, shape or form. I my appeals just get rejected...

    I just want to pay for the failed transactions and return to the game. I’ve provided all necessary information and screenshots of the transactions including my bank statements to prove that I have the means to pay for the coins, still, EA's TOS team keeps rejecting my appeals :/

    This is a really ridiculous situation that should have a very easy solution, instead, players like me who love and support the game get banned without any explanation while cheaters run rampant and free of consequences...

    I’m desperate to get back to playing Apex since its literally the only multiplayer game I play, it sucks seeing my friends playing it while I'm banned for wanting to support the game and get a cool skin :/

    If our TOS team has repeatedly denied your appeals @rngdanny then there is nothing that we can do to change this

  • @EA_Darko so that's it? I lost my account and years of my life because I thought the pathfinder skin was cool enough that it was worth my money? :I

    Hey @rngdanny there's nothing that we on AHQ can do to help with issues like this. If our team has denied your appeal then it means they found evidence to support the action.

  • @EA_Darko Yes, I have also showed you why I was banned and its on the title of this post but once again I'll add it on this reply.

    Do you think that the payment failure merits a ban though? Its not like I stole a card and tried to get $10000 in coins to 12 different account, it was $15 for a pathfinder skin into my account, an account where I have purchased apex coins the past, the only difference between the times I charged coins in the past and this one its that I tried to use the EA website :D 

    I'm gold, I only play with my friends, I never use text chat or voice chat, I have like a 1.20 KDA and the staff TOS could see it and we could solve this issue super fast, instead I'm getting my appeals rejected and no reason as to why they're being rejected   

    Like, it isn't that deep, they could have reached out and I would have solved the issue by just purchasing the coins using steam, authorizing them to charge $15 and I would have even agreed to a penalty fee for the issue but instead I was banned losing years of my life that I have invested into my account :D 

  • @EA_Darko also, you're literally the only human being from EA who has somewhat interacted with my case because as I said before, no one from the TOS staff has even tried to reach out. I just get automated emails when my appeals get rejected. I get it that there's a lot of people who might submit, there's a ton of games under EA's umbrella and EA staff can't reply to all of them, but its been over a week, with multiple appeals and I've received nothing but empty rejections from the TOS Staff :/

    All TOS appeal's are independently investigated by a member of the TOS team @rngdanny.

    If denied then it means that the team found evidence to support the ban and there is nothing that anyone can do to change this.

  • hello i got the same issue as u any tips to getting unban i have been ban almost a month because of this issue 
    i got the proof of my bank and they still didnt want to unban me
