PS5 Next-Gen version not showing most of my friends who are online playing

Where did the issue occur? Returning to the lobby after a match
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. Friends on PSN friends list shown playing, but not on the ingame friends list
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Upgraded to PS5 version

How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? Immediately on Upgrade

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
How severe is your issue? Major impacts to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? No friends show up on friends list except a few I added through the ingame friends list from Xbox and one or two on PlayStation. I’m missing like 80% of the players who are online playing, it don’t show them online on Apex.
What should be happening instead? They should be online and viewable.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Get on the PS5 version and look at your friends list between the actual PS interface and the Apex friends list.
Most of my friends who are online playing so not show up on the in-game friends list. This is an issue for the PS5 upgrade. The few that do show up where randoms I added through the in-game friends feature but I did not add them on my actual Sony Playstation friends list.
