Hi @TTV_Deadeye_G,

There's no harm in doing so. Backups are always a smart move. This will guide you through that: Steam Support: Using the Steam Backup Feature

In terms of the overlay issues, from their help guide: Steam Support: Steam Community Overlay it advises trying a few things like: 

  • Restart Computer: We did this and more by clean booting the pc ✔️

  • Verifying the integrity of the game files in Steam. This will run through how to verify the files: Steam Support: Verify Integrity of Game Files. 
  • Updating all major drivers,
  • Limiting the amount of programs running during gameplay
  • Updating your operating system to its latest version.

  • Reinstalling Steam: The Steam installer can be downloaded here and reinstalled to the same location where it is already installed. Be aware that uninstalling Steam will delete all game content and you'll need to redownload them once more. 

Further down in the article, it outlines some more advanced troubleshooting steps but for now, please try the ones above. The basic steps might do the trick.

    Just finished trying all the steps but nothing worked. What should I do now? This is so dumb to ask but my steam region is set to Russia. Is that causing the problem? @EA_Lanna

    @TTV_Deadeye_G Also the popup works when I launch the game through origin. But then I can't use my steam wallet balance as it asks me to pay through the origin.

    Sorry about the delay there. Only just spotted the notification. 

    That's a really good call-out. I'm not sure if the region effects the Steam overlay itself but would explain the purchase issues. In this update: "Update on Electronic Arts titles in Russia and Belarus" EA shared this: 

    EA wrote:
    ...We have made the decision to stop sales of our games and content, including virtual currency bundles, in Russia and Belarus while this conflict continues. As a result, our games and content will no longer be available for purchase in our Russian region storefront on Origin or the EA app, including through in-game stores. We are also working with our platform partners to remove our titles from their stores and stop the sale of new in-game content in the region.
