Completely agree. I have to remind myself that this game is six years old and that it only used to take three years for a shooter to be ruined by its player base, so I suppose I'm almost grateful that it's taken this long for this game to founder. On the other hand, I feel like this is the first time in 25 years of gaming that I can honestly say that the developer and the publisher are at least as guilty as the players for ruining the game. That's the part that really sticks in my craw. They could have been... SHOULD have been a force for good. Instead they have made one bad design decision after another - the ratio of good calls to bad is something like 1:100 - and they collude with cheaters, banning them one day, and actively encouraging them to start a secondary within minutes and continuing on. Making them not just cheaters, but smurfs as well. Two for the price of one, as they say.
I'm actually sorry to say that I'm not done with the game yet, but I can say with certainty that the game itself very much IS done.
