Apex legends abandon penalty
Can yall please get rid of this stupid thing? It sucks when your team abandons you and I'm waiting for nothing.

I quick quit instinctually. Once i caught on i just started alt tabing once im downed. Im sure ive been rezzed a few times while afk aswell.
Much like every new thing that gets implemented in this game its done poorly....
We play ranked for rank points right? Soooo.....Why not just take those? I mean take a rediculous amount if you need to...Who cares?
I personally think they should take it out of the game. I think they should take it out of the game because there are so many times I forgot that I'm playing ranked and its an instict to leave. Or at least make the screen turn entirely red and then put two notifications. not just leave game and then leave button. It should be leave game button then you click it and it says are you sure your gonna get penalty. I don't know why I just get so into the game that I forget that it is ranked and I just recently got penalty of 11 HOURS!!!!! I want to play apex ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ >☹️
We need the penalty. Too many guys just DC after they die, don't like their loot, or just don't like their teammates. I would actually advocate putting it in ALL Apex game modes and not just randoms.
That being said, it does need to be modified. Here is what I would suggest.
- Autoban if you are downed and DC before you are raised.
- No Autoban after 30 seconds if you are killed and are outside the circle.
- No Autoban after 1 minute if you are killed and nobody grabs your banner.
- No Autoban if you are killed and there is no respawn in the circle.
But seriously... if you are getting an 11 hour ban, you have issues and need to sop rage-quitting.
I personally realized I am very good at surviving.
Many players just are into fighting and run blindly into firefights.Especially those who insta drop and land between 6 other squads.
I believe those players should play other games like Battlefield for example!
There they get instant action and fast revive as they like it and they need no teamplay.If I have a 2 man squad or if I am alone, I just keep looting and let the other teams fight.
Often I get into the top 5 and some 2nd places rewarded me with great XP.
If you survive 15-20 minutes you get about 3500 XP.
1st place just adds
600900(edited) extra XP and a kill only 50XP.
So I better keep on playing 15 minutes instead of loosing time waiting for new matches several times.Even if I do not shot a single bullet I get lot of XP, I really enjoy it!
They loaded me in ranked solo so I quit before the drop even started n still got a penalty wtf
- @RayC420 well... that's how the abandon penalty works.
Once the game starts (you begin selecting legends) than the penalty is in effect.
- @Fingrpistols Yeah, sometimes when I get killed super quickly because I didn't get a gun and this octane over here got a gold R-301 and purple shields, I instinctively quit when I go into box form. It's not the biggest problem, since it's only ten minutes, but I understand your view.
Or... what just happened to me. I left a ranked match after my screen said squad eliminated and I got hit with the 10 minute abandoned penalty plus the RP loss. Talk about frustrating. It's like the server and my PC didn't sync up right and I got punished because of it. Oh well. Glitches happen. It's not a perfect system, but it does help to some extent.
