Apex legends abandon penalty
Can yall please get rid of this stupid thing? It sucks when your team abandons you and I'm waiting for nothing.

I don’t think ea understands how many players are going to stop playing because of this ...some people don’t go back and pick up there teammates banners they keep going and playing the game either with themselves or the other teammate that also didn’t decide to pick u up and now your stuck waiting till the match is over that’s crazy you should be able to back out when u want I got a 40 min penalty today for backing out cus my group decided last min to drop in at another point of the map instead of what’s was marked and when I went down because I was alone they were across the map they weren’t going to come get me so EA I’m suppose to just sit there now until the Match is over honestly I’m going to stop playing this game if you keep this nonsense and I don’t think I’m The only one who feels this way if your going to keep The abandon penalty use it in ranked matches only give people a choice of how they want to play

nobody forces you to play ranked.
if you can't accept how it is now, then don't play ranked.
i personally don't see problem and i think there is reason why team mates don't re-spawn you... - @gtony66 Tbh the banner timer doesn't take that long to wind down. If your playing with randoms you have to expect randomness.
@gtony66 I completely disagree. The ranked penalty is great for all the people that insta leave when they're down just to leave the poor guy (usually me) winning the fight and with little to no chance in the long game

Also you normally wouldn't want players like that in your squad anyway, because usually if they don't die and leave right away, they will * you over little bit further into the round.
And if they leave and get punished, it does nothing for decent players, it's same as before.
This system is a half assed discouragement attempt for * at best, and huge inconvenience for legit players at worst. There is reason why not many games use this, because in the long run the positives are not worth of frustrating normal players.
I think there is a simple solution... ADD DUOS AND SOLOS. Done deal. Then you don’t have to wait for some potato aim for 15 min sitting in corners all game. Just add to the game not take away play time. I agree it’s dumb, but there are other ways to counter it.

Finally we have a penalty because i was so fed up with people dying and leaving while i was on my way to get the banner, or even worse leaving when i was enganging a fight just for them, in order to (try to) clear the area and respawn them safely!
Not even need to mention when someone drops far away, die or simply are downed, you go to pick them up and they leave.
If the decision was up to me the time ban was up to hours since the first time you quit a game.
I do not even see duos as an option as it will happen exactly the same; solo can be the way to go but if you just need to feed your ego go and play other games!
Why should you be forced to play with people you don’t want to? How is duos not an option? Majority of the time I play with one friend. I want to just team up with him and drop. When our teammates die they leave anyway. No matter what. Banning players for simply leaving because they don’t want to wait for their “teammate” to finish the game is dumb. It’s a part of the game. Many times I’m in a fight with my friend and we are fighting multiple teams. We end up dying while the random is sitting in the corner or running the other way. I’m sorry but I’m not watching this person play. Not everyone is like you and goes out of their way to help. Have you ever left a game before? You probably have.

The penalty is great. The people that don't like it and can't accept it should just play something else. No one want's to play with a quitter anyway.
Agree with you totally apex legends was my favorite game last night until I got a penalty, I play ranked because I like to play with good teams and I only rage quit when my teammate are hiding while you are fighting 2 vs full squads (it is ranked game so why are they some many campers?), but anyway I got 700min penalty because I quit a game with no teammates!!
I'm not too sure why, but I was was playing this evening and quit on my squad mates multiple times but did not receive a temporary ban...Not too sure why?..This is absurd and I feel neglected..should I send an email or contact ea about this?
