Dev update on cheaters and spammers

Excuse me for interrupting a little bit that, I think EA is aware of this.

But the player base for cheating is like in an enormous level here in Asia and maybe EA really don't have enough man power to handle it ?

There are multiple factors for this.

1 - Apex is F2P

2 - Origin is free for register

3 - Game is awesome, it attracts many cheaters

So there you go, you got hundreds of thousands of cheaters here in Asia and I am not sure how EA is handling this.

1st thing is the old cheaters are not banned. You could still see cheaters that played quite some time with crazy stats being active on Asian servers.

2nd thing is if some accounts getting banned they could get a new Origin accounts with ease.

Also, hardware ban. I am not sure what cheaters are doing with it. Bypassed ? Not bypassed ? It is just there is still a large cheater base here in Asia.

@TJ400000  I understand everything you've said, and the ban is suppose to be a 'Hardware Ban', whether someone can get around this, I don't know...

Anyhow, the only way to ever really stop this, or put a major dent in it, is when this becomes a 'Legal Issue' and these Cheat Developers are held responsible under a Court of Law!

Yes, I've mentioned several times in the forum about the legal actions on cheating industries, which I heard was possible in EU as there are relevant laws.

In NA ? I am not sure. I have always thought US is a country that heaviliy emphasized on laws and are there such laws saying cheating behavior in video game is not ok ? I am not sure.

While in Asia there is a serious issue of tons of people buying cheat, using cheat, trying cheat, making cheat, selling cheat, spamming cheat, ruining everyone's game, ruining gaming industry's future, ruining EA's future and so on.

And what could be done by EA to those people in Asia ? Taking legal actions ? That could be some challenge. But why not ? Why not EA figure out who's been devouring their profits in Asian market then just sue them and asking Chinese government to take action. What would be the result I don't know. We have lots of cheat sellers being arrested in 2018. More than 300 of them in China.

And for me, I bought the Battle Pass to support this game. And find the process to fulfill the Battle Pass to be a harder-than-imagine one. With harsh environment here on Taiwan server, I wonder how am I gonna carry out the 50 hours of playing to get to lvl 110.

All we can do is wait and hope for the best, but you are right, this sort of thing does hurt the industry and it hurts them as I'm sure you are saying financially.

Because of the 'Treatie's we have in place with countries around the world, it doesn't matter where these people live, if they are big enough fish they can be extradited.

Bottom Line, these people are stealing revenue from an industry, that could go after them in Courts of Law to seek retribution.

Honestly speaking, I think it is not enough for people from EA to hear about this reports.

It is essential for people from EA to actually play in the SEA servers for at least 6 hours and to see what the user experience really is like there.

Or maybe you could already imagine what could it be like as cheat salesman here is Asia has went mad when trying to think of marketing strategies.

And it is hard to accept, but this seems to be the best method that the marketing department of all " major cheat selling companies " in China had developed - to create thousands of bots spamming in legend select scene, that had caused the game literally unable to play.

Yeah, it is disgusting. Nobody would like to think about there is a bunch of people doing this to Apex as they know there is this opportunity for them to do something " extraordinary " and will not be caught, but what is the point of doing this ? Nobody's gonna buy any cheat from them by this way.

I think it is a desperate measure. Those people would go for anything to have the phenomenon being made - that is the whole mechanism in their brains, whether it had the game being destroyed, or whether they had really sold any cheat.

This is how bad they are exploiting now... They have white armor and can self revive... I kid you not.. just watched it happen as this wallhacking pos ran down 2 full squads, gets downed, goes behind rock and self revives, than cleans up.  *.. YOUR GAME IS COMPLETELY *.

You can keep dishing out EMPTY numbers that doesnt mean anything, you can even say you ''banned'' 1million+ account, ''stopped'' 1million+ account creation but the reality isn't going to change. Your game is literally a CHEATER FEST. It's a waste of time for legit player to go in just to get lasered down in secs. What's the point of playing? Even cheaters are mocking your anti cheat by saying they still didn't get ban after reaching 80+ lvls with 10k+ kills.

For God sake, we don't need new legend or even new map to keep us engaged. DEAL WITH THESE CHEATER FIRST.

Not sure where you're finding all of these cheaters.  Just a lot of people with good gaming keyboards, you should all try one too.  Makes things much more enjoyable in this game.

@HyperXMousepadThey are in Asia, there is a large polulation base in Asia and lots of them are cheaters.

They are also on certain servers in NA and EU I heard.

They are certainly not on your regular server.

I am sure you won't met one and won't understand what playing on one of those cheater infested servers is like, which has been going on since February for 3 months already.

the other games dont have this problem went back to them. . . .GL with it.

I'm all for people at EA actually playing many rounds against the cheating scum. That way there might be some understanding as to how frustrating it is trying to play this game legitimately.

Because Apex Legends is an awesome game!. It's the only battle royale I would choose to play. For me the graphics are so much better than the counterparts. As well as the weapons and gear. The gameplay is really well polished. It's a flipping great game to play. Without cheaters.

+1 to forgetting new content and removing cheaters first.

We don't want this game to die. Because it has the potential to be one of the best games out. The cheaters will force an early death though. It's already happening. People aren't seeing even mid term results from the "ban wave" - cheaters are back in force. Then what, they DDos'd EA servers after the ban wave?. Who didn't see that coming.

Please focus on getting rid of cheaters before this great game dies a premature death.

You do know there is a level 4 (yellow) knockdown token that allows you to self revive?  LOL... It only has one use, if you use it then it becomes purple.  Pretty sure there is no self revive cheat...

In over 100 hours on the NA/EU servers I don't see all these cheaters you are talking about.

Please don't make us out to think EA is a bunch of liars that are not doing as they say, if you want to say they are, then prove it, rather then just saying it with nothing to back up your words.

You might want to research 'Consumer Protection' in the USA and the laws in the USA to protect consumers against deceptive companies.

Deception in business can land you in Court getting sued!

Bottom line, it's never in the best interest of any company to lie and deceive it's consumers, because in the end, it can bite back!

very well said. Apex is a great game with great potential, however the cheaters are definitely ruining it. For me, I still kept on believing that those cheater will face consequences one day. But for now it is very tiring to play the game legitly because you get lasered down in 2sec. People will get tired of constantly playing against cheaters and eventually they won't see the point of playing  anymore. At least this is what I am experiencing.

I went an bought COD4 . . .it don't have this problem. . .it also has solo/duo/squad and zombies when you get tired of the rest of the game.

I've seen to many games start like this to only die as soon as they came.

Name is still the same in COD4 come look me up . . .it's just Mernik

Clueless about what?

I mentioned several things...

Actually shows that you are either ignorant or so bad that you cant clearly differentiate between skill and cheats.

In 250 hrs (on EU servers) I've seen speed hacks, aimbots, wallhacks, a mix of all of them etc pp. It's always pretty funny so see someone shooting through smoke with pin-point accuracy even tho he has a weapon that can't use the digital visor. Or seeing ppl that snap to targets, getting 90% headshots no matter the distance or anything.

@xpl0its If you knew something was causing major damage to your product, then some people said that 'something' isn't that bad or not a big deal- what would those people look like to you?

Saying that there aren't many cheaters doesn't change the fact that there are. Actually it will make them think it's ok and make it worse. Every one of them are guilty of ruining thousands' of other people's experience on Apex for months now. That adds up, which is why there are so many. These subhumans should legitimately uninstall if they can't play w/o cheats.

I'm very well aware of cheats, I'm not ignorant to it, I'm just not seeing it as bad on the NA/EU servers, but I don't disagree that there's a problem.

You miss understand me, I don't deny there's a problem that needs fixing like now! I was only pointing out that I'm not seeing it as bad on NA/EU servers, that's all.

EA does seem to be dragging their heels, but I hope in time it changes, and real soon too.

I'm done, tried a few games on 3 diff servers. They're clearly packed. Can't stand playing with losers that feel the need to completely rely on something for an advantage. After seeing the videos, I know when someone is walling and toggle is obvious. When a 1500 kill player has an r99 shooting all over the place, then suddenly has zero recoil landing every shot... it's blatant.

Have fun with cheatpex, anyone cheating- you know that your aim is dumpster and will continue to be. I'll definitely enjoy Apex after there is a solution, farming untoggled bots. That's why it's true, the first day after an update on EAC is the only day real players have. Apex feels AMAZING for that one day. Then these selfish zeroes hog the servers after that. And can you believe most of them only have 2500 damage badges? 2500 damage with aimbot. hahaha
