Game Won't Load

Game won't load after the splash screen. Anyone else having this issue? I've been playing almost everyday the past few weeks, so 100% has to do with the update.

  • This is the file location:

ProgramFiles(x86)/OriginGames/Apex/paks/Win64/ui(01).dll  Could be EA Games instead of Origin Games too.

Deleting the "ui(01).dll" file did the trick. Thanks to everyone for pointing that out.

  • Hello, I reinstalled the game and it continues to give me the error, the ui(01).dll file does not appear either what can I do?

Had the same issue. Didn't get any error message. But your suggestion solved the problem with not getting past the splash screen. :) Tyvm! :)

     Indeed.

Just delete the file ui(01).dll, and start the game again.

Worked for me. I just moved the file, but the game ran fine without it, so i deleted the file.

ps. It's easy anti cheat from Apex  that doesn't trust the file, not your anti virus. The apex updater might have not deleted (in case of an old game file) or patched it correctly. Or easy anti cheat just sees it as a false positive.

Same, there seems to be a weird error message at attached here:

I can not related that error message for anything as the computer only includes F-secure antivirus, EA app, Steam and Epic clients and OBS.

My suggestion would be to make your untrusten system file ui(01).dll a bit more trusted to be valid for anti cheat...

I just had the same problem, not sure if its related. Was a .dll file that the anti-cheat didn't like, said Untrusted system file? I have no idea what it is or means as I don't mess with anything. Seems to be a file extension. I copied the file to a folder, then deleted the file in question: ProgramFiles(x86)/OriginGames/Apex/paks/Win64/ui(01).dll. Restarted the game and it worked. There are a ton of files in that folder. Re-tested it again by putting that file back in the pak folder and got the same error.

I was playing this morning before the update and all was fine. Updated, and the game wouldn't load after splash and got that message.

Seems to be ok now although I just had 1 quick game in TDM.
