Map voting

It would be nice if maps weren't forced on us by a timetable and if there was an option to opt into a map vote option. I enjoy this idea because it will give Respawn an idea of where people are at with map preferences and servers can be maintained with players from a previous game. First map could be what's on the map rotation timetable and then there's the option to vote if you've opted in. Not sure but it seems that might help maintain a stability on a server if it's consistently being used.

  • @Skenderaxe I have to agree with @Cheese9Man and @hayhor on this one. They should just reduce the map rotation times, and have all maps in rotation. Personally, I haven't been a fan of map voting since the earlier days of CoD, because it turned the game into Call of Nuketown. Hardly got to see some of the maps, because people only voted for the couple that were most popular. I can't really see them doing this on an opt-in basis either, as that would further split the player base, which is something they try to avoid

  • @Skenderaxe All we need are 30 minute rotations with the occasional 45 minute rotation to throw the loop off so it isn't the same every day.

@Cheese9Man I suggested opting into voting for that reason, your 30-minute rotation idea is a different concept that could be applied too though. Maybe you could opt into that too!

    No Thank You.

Map voting leads to one map being played over and over and over again, according to the player base.

And NO matter how you want or think it will turn out, you look at what happens and you know it would always be...

....World's Edge, because of Fragment drop.

  • Maps rotations are the least of our concerns.

There's plenty of other issues that need priority fixing namely high ping and packet loss issues and sbmm

  • @Skenderaxe

The other problem with this that (I think) no one has mentioned, is that you're dividing the player base and further straining the already serverly strained skill-based portion of the matchmaking tragedy that is Apex Legends.

@dSKyNafinchinYou don't need to vote...that's a bad idea since the majority doesnt represent the minority ever in votes and then you would get other problems like players leaving the game because they didnt want to play that map again and they would want to try voting until they get the map they want to play so teams would all be left as duo against three stacks.

You could simply select the map you want to play before you start a game... and you would play that map directly... with different wait times according to how many are playing that map.
