Missing damage badges

Today got my first 4k on Ash and my duo also got their first 2.5 on mirage but we didn’t receive the badges. I know they were disabled in season 23 but there was a public announcement saying we could get them in pubs again in season 24. Did they back track making this intentional or is it bugged?
