Is Apex releasing on PS5 or can we just play the PS4 version on PS5 ?

@EA_David Its obviously gonna be upgraded for next gen its just a matter of when, I'm hopeful you guys will surprise us with it on release of next gen.

Also if it isn't ready does that mean you need to use last gen controllers or will new ones work?

@CAGOA34For PS5 games you need ps5 controller. For ps4 games you need ps4 controllers. Thats the brunt of it. But you might use ps5 controllers to play supported ps4 games tho.

BUT I highly doubt Apex will feature better game processing when next gen is here. Going the way they’re going, even tho next gen has been announced even before Apex launched, it’ll likely get a game buff supporting increased frame rate, rendering or whatever after 6 months XD

    @Koochi-Q 6 months is fine for me. I figure that's when I'll be able to actually buy a ps5. The current preorder situation is a disaster. First they sold out in a minute. Then amazon sent a note to people saying they might not get their consoles that day. Then gamestop did a 2nd preorder day. Then gamestop told people they may not get their console the day of release.

      Exactly, my wallet is ready but new console is hiding like a rat, can't find it.

        @asukojo Yep I'd buy one today if I could but I'm not paying anything over retail. Maybe I'll buy a used one and save money like I did with my PS4.
