[July 21] Apex Account Reset

Hi, I just logged into apex through steam and my account was reset back to level 1, i have no stats, and it is telling me to compete training to play ranked. I was plat 1 and have over 3,000 hours of apex. 

@EA_Mako i’ve seen your response to others issues relating to apex, if you could kindly help me out, that would be great

  • I have the same issue.

    After transferring my account to Steam, I was able to play with the original data for a few hours,

    but after a few hours, all the data was gone.

    It's been 3 months since then and I still haven't gotten my account data back.

  • Hi Mari, 

    My account is still reset and has been since April, back then i was asked to just wait... 
    since i waited to long and was told to wait by support 3-4 times i just forgot the game and kind of gave up. Can you somehow help?

    @Citynim Just to clarify, this thread is for resets that happened on July 21st. April resets are being discussed in a different thread, please ensure you're posting in the correct space.

    I just want to make things clear and set the right expectations. The EA customer service can be reached by contacting EA Help Support. AHQ is a global community focused on players helping players. However, there are times when we might need to step in to assist with specific issues, such as the one that happened on April 2nd. Mari asked you to post in the correct thread to make sure your post would be seen and actioned accordingly. 

  • I decide to play after 8 months, I cant open my acc bcs of that issue, how I going to fix it? thanks!

    Hey @Pygoscelis,

    It doesn't look like the account you're posting with has ever launched Apex in the past.

    If you'd played 8 months ago or at all previously, it seems that was on a different account.

    Please check any other emails or accounts you may have used instead. If you're having any trouble accessing or recovering an account, please contact support directly so they can take a look.

    My account was also reset a few months back and it still hasn't been recovered even after I put in a ticket and they said it was fixed. I understand there's a lot of people with similar issues but I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me out. Thank you!

    Hey folks,

    Since the fix for this issue was implemented, we've seen a number of posts reporting this was ongoing.

    After reviewing the reports however, these do not appear to be related to this particular situation. We'll be closing the thread here to avoid any further confusion as this issue is resolved.

    If your account was fully reset and you haven't played in some time, it's possible this was due to an issue back on April 2nd. Please post in this thread if you believe that to be the case and we'll take a look.

    If a reset has happened more recently, what we've been finding after reviewing additional reports is that platforms have been unlinked, which causes a loss of progress. As a reminder, progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. If you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress. 

    In those situations you'll need to re-link your platform to its original EA Account to attempt restoring access, thanks!
