Community ManagerOne (probably) final update. I held off the unlink request because the support agent said they couldn't guarantee it would fix the issue, and that it even ran the risk of making me lose more content. Considering they were so uncertain, I held off. The ONLY way I could consistently revert my game to the proper state, was to uninstall on Steam, reinstall on EA desktop app, launch the game there, then uninstall, and reinstall on Steam. I tried many other steps and it was the only way to make it work.
Although a very tedious solution, it seems with the latest season the issue has been fixed, thankfully.
